All-Star games are usually hosted by SHL or SMJHL team but what if it wasn’t so? If you would like to grow the game on new market having an exhibition game with all the best players in the leagues could be good kickstart, or maybe it could revitalize an old market that might have had their team moved in the past? If you were to hold games outside of current teams, where you would take the games and why?

I think the All Star games could definitely be used in some old markets to revitalize and confirm that the passion is still there for teams of the past. In the SHL, Portland and their fans - and many non-fans - loved the Admirals branding, if not the controversy surrounding them. Bringing back the SHL in the form of the ASG would be a huge boon for fans in the city. In the SMJHL you could say the same about Prince George. While they certainly needed to bring the logo into a more modern time, the team was excellent and the rivalry with both Vancouver and Kelowna was explosive. Bringing back the BC rivalries would be very exciting for the league. An SMJHL all star game there would only confirm that.

5.) Hugh Manius would have a great time in the twin city. He would send time at Walker Art Center and Minneapolis Sculpture Garden as that sounds like a great place to spend some time. Additionally Hugh would go to Como Park Zoo and Conservatory to check out the animals and finally Hugh would visit the Mall of America and waste money.

5. This time the games are hosted in Minnesota. How would players spend their time in Twin Cities? [[2 TPE]]

Rasmus hasn't ever been to Minnesota other than when they go there to play road games, in which case it's usually get in, go to the hotel, go to the rink, go back to the hotel and then get out. It's rare to have a chance to explore the city, so he'd probably head to a local watering hole and get to know some of the locals, hopefully fly under the radar a bit. He'd maybe check out an ODR in the area, see if he can get a skate in without drawing too much attention. Probably see if there's some good restaurants in the area too, though I'm not sure what Minnesota has that's their signature dish.

6. Your player starts practicing a skill that has nothing to do with hockey, what do they do and how it goes? [3 TPE]

So Rasmus goes out and he starts practicing the skill of flipping the perfect egg in the pan. It's something that frustrates him most weekends as he hasn't been able to find much success with either keeping the egg in tact, or actually getting a nice flip on it while it's flying through the air. Sometimes the egg is in tact, but it rolls in half. Sometimes it breaks in half but the pieces get elite rotation when he flips it in the air. So he gets to work on this 3 times a day now, which brings transferable skills to hockey in that it promotes soft hands, like he's receiving a past. It's wrist mobility and strength. It's concentration and a test of mental persistence. It's also about just having the determination to set a goal and work towards it, no matter how frustrated you get or how many dozens of eggs you need to eat in order to get to the goal.

5. As anyone worth their salt could tell you that if you're in Minnesota, there is one attraction that absolutely cannot be missed. In fact, if i could go anywhere in this great big beautiful world, the place I'd go to is the biggest ball of twine in Minnesota. You heard me - I said the biggest ball of twine in Minnesota. Just imagine, the team's chartered tour bus cresting that final bill and back lit by the soft Minnesota sun, you can all see that majestic spherical string construction, a true monument to American determination and ingenuity. What amazing lessons could a player take home from that hallowed ground? How will each of us be changed, forever, by the gravity of this spiritual journey, this St. Peter’s of String, this Twine Temple of Solomon, this Kaaba of Cord? Having shared the sacred space of this relic, we will all return silently to our seats on the bus. Not a word will be spoken on the return trip, yet somehow we will all be in agreement.

Oh and I guess they have some waterfalls or something like that? I guess we'll see if there's time to hit that up. I'm just here for that twine.

203 words - 4 tpe

11. I'm gonna come clean with you right now - if that twine answer wasn't for you, stop reading now. Because the fact is that the twine ball isn't even in the twin cities. It's in Darwin. So, I'm gonna have to tell you, the best way for the SHL to grow the league is to host next season's All Star Game in the city blessed by that sacred sphere, the twine ball.

4. Which of the goalies you would have starting for each team?
6. Your player starts practicing a skill that has nothing to do with hockey, what do they do and how it goes?

4. Both sides of course have very excellent goalies. Therefore making choosing which goalie to start for both teams a debate. When we look at the East, we have goalies from Toronto and Buffalo. For Toronto, they have Denebor Milasch, a goalie who had a S79 season with 33 wins and a 0.911 save percentage. While on the Stampede, they have Rebecca Montagne who had 26 wins and a 0.908 save percentage. Although this might look like an easy pick, we still have to consider playoff performances. Both teams met in the first round of the playoffs which ended with buffalo winning the series in 6 games. Though Toronto lost, it was definitely not because of their goaltending. Milasch had a 0.916 save percentage which is quite impressive. On the other hand, Montagne who played 10 games in the playoffs, had a 0.893 save percentage. These statistics conclude that Toronto's goaltender should be the starter. However, when we look at the west, there is the two usual suspects. From San Francisco, there is Justin Time with another fantastic performance. And from Los Angeles there is Grzegorz Brzeczyszczykiewicz. The Pride's starter goalie, Justin Time had a save percentage of 0.911 with 45 wins. While the Panther's starter goalie had a 0.9 save percentage. Ultimately, there is not much competition between the two, as the Panthers lost in 4 games.

6. Kevin Kim had always been interested in the world of speedcubing. While most people believe that solving the cube might be impossible, Kevin says otherwise. Out side of hockey, he had continuously practiced and memorized new algorithms to one day achieve a personal record of 11 seconds. A great feat for a player mostly concentrated in his next highly competitive hockey game.

Tell me about your teammate who made the all star game! Who are they, why were they an obvious choice to make the All Star roster, and what do you expect from them this ASG? (If more than one of your teammates made the game, pick one of those players other than yourself. If you are the only player on your team selected for the all star game so far, write about your team's candidate for last man instead.)

For my New Orelans Specters, Luca Pane was the player selected to represent us in the All-Star game this season.  Luca had a great season in New Orleans.  The forward led our team in goals (40) and assists (45) and his 85 points was good enough to get him the invite to the big All-Star game.  Luca also led the Specters in minutes played (1518) as well as average time on ice (23:00 minutes).  His stat line rounded out with a 56.4% from the faceoff circle, 52 shots blocked, 98 hits and 5 game winning goals for the Specters.  All these stats aside, Luca is just a great person.  He leads the team on and off the ice and for a rookie like my player, Lyle Odelein IV, a presence like that is instrumental for young players.  Odelein even got the chance to play on the same line as Pane for a few games, an experience that will not soon be forgotten. So Lyle and the rest of the Specters team, will proudly be cheering on Luca Pane when he suits up in this seasons All-Star game, waiting for him to show the rest of the league and everyone else watching, that he is a bonafide superstar in the SHL.

At the end of the day Hall of Fame is very exclusive club of players. This means that many players with great careers still can easily not make it, depending on how many awards or all-star nods they might get during their career along with general recognition. So who in you opinion should have made it? Is it someone who got snubbed in your opinion or someone who’s contribution wasn’t really recognized outside their own team? Who and why you would have liked to see being inducted to hall?

This prompt hits close to home for me.  My first player, and this current players 'father', Lyle Odelein III did not get the call to the Hall of Fame.  Something that I had hoped he would have.  Lyle Odelein III did have a great career, playing 15 seasons, all for the New Oreleans Specters, he may not have been the flashiest player, but he was a defender that no one liked playing against.  He was a shot blocking machine, he still holds the record for the most shots blocked in a single season (378) and he is the SHL all time shot blocker with a whopping 2798 blocks during his career.  And not that it counts, but he was a fantasy juggernaught for multiple seasons.  I had hoped that he had done enough to get the call, but that did not happen.  Here's to hoping that his 'son' has an even better career and gets some looks his way when he hangs up the skates.

6. Your player starts practicing a skill that has nothing to do with hockey, what do they do and how it goes?

If my character, 3WW Wingmate Roc started practicing a skill that wasn't hockey in universe, it would be practicing how to merge the All star and championship week tasks together. I would have Wingmate Roc examine why this needed to be split in the first place, it's not like there's a difference in tpe and that people had a different deadline. I would have my character examine why they would split a perfectly fine task into a pair of tasks where you can miss one for no reason. Also, I would have my character in universe examine why it's necessary to do work multiple times for the already long offseason when you have to rely on people not wanting to bash out a full offseason task in one go rather than doing it separately. So I guess in this hypothetical scenario, Wingmate Roc has become some kind of middle manager that is creating extra work that doesn't actually do anything good, makes people do more work and miss stuff and is generally quite annoying. Wingmate Roc would be a middle manager changing up processes to make stuff "more engaging" for something that people don't really care for or really even consider. Or maybe he'd get really good at quidditch idk

I think if I wanted to revitalize some kind of all star game I would first start with systematically chopping off and making sport of GMs with horrible records who blatantly tank. I think that we could find some blood thirsty crowd who was tired of boring ass losing and tanking for picks and putting out horrible rosters and then figuring out a way to make sport of these managers. I would maybe have the good teams with good players play against these bad teams and shame them, in game of course. By splitting the All star game and host into a sort of survivor situation where you have honorable teams who try and get to be hosted in the SHL all star which runs as normal and then one where we dig up old social media posts you made as a teen to shame and make fun of these teams who have zero intention of winning games and fielding a had product. In this separate reality TV show all star program we'd have a special section dedicated to GMs who tanked and then never won anything or playoff games, like a double loser bonanza. This I think would be really effective and funny.

2. East has interesting mix of top scoring players who finished on top
15 on points. How would you mix these players up to create best 2
forward lines?

3. On West you could build D pairs out of teammates or rivals as both
Los Angels and San Fransisco sends 2 defencemen. Which one you’d choose
and for why?

4. Which of the goalies you would have starting for each team?

5. This time the games are hosted in Minnesota. How would players spend their time in Twin Cities?

6. Your player starts practicing a skill that has nothing to do with hockey, what do they do and how it goes?

7. What would be your starting lineup, 3 forwards, 2 defencemen and a goalie for one of the SMJHL conferences?

5. I always love the goalie questions. Typically, goalies in the SHL aren't just good on their own. In fact, it's been said before (and is widely believed) that goalie TPE doesn't matter. I mean, of course it does…but probably not a whole lot. No, goalies are usually a product of the team around them. This is especially true with teams that have elite defensemen.

From the Western Conference, we have (once again) Justin Time and Grzegorz Brzeczyszczykiewicz from the San Francisco Pride and Los Angeles Panthers respectively. The goalies from the two best teams in the conference. Both teams had an elite blue line. Comparing the two and taking the stats at face value, like last season, Justin Time looks like the better goalie. However, unlike last season, there's no question about it. Time had a better Goals Against Average, a better Goals Saved Above Average, a better Save Percentage, significantly more Shutouts, and significantly more wins (everyone's favorite stat). Give me Justin Time.

From the Eastern Conference, we have Denebor Milasch and Rebecca Montagne. Milasch is a relative newcomer in only their third season, giving some credence to the belief that goalie TPE doesn't matter. Montague is a veteran in her 15th season with a similar TPE total. Neither were as good as Time or Brzeczyszczykiewicz in the West. Comparing these goalies in the same way, this decision is easier. Like Time, Milasch swept the important stats over Montagne (they tied in shutouts). In this case, however, Montagne was on a team that was much worse. I'm still taking Denebor Milasch.
