Brayden Point would be on the blue team. It would be a match of forwards vs. defenders and the goalies would each go to 1 team. Brayden Point is no stranger to winters being Canadian. He also also seen his fair share of reality TV. Be nice but not too nice and take the lead but not always take the lead. Be the one that people love and respect a lot but fear just enough that they would never vote him off the mountain. If you do not say anything people will see you as an easy target and if you take all the spot light they will feel threatened by you and want you gone. By striking the balance it would be the best way to win. Also because this is Tampa most of the players are not used to the cold mountains Brayden Point is a natural here and will pave the way for his team to take a win for the blue! Have no fear for Brayden Point is here
Hockey fan for life. I pack the heat and score the goals!
Jack Ellul shoes up to the New England Wolfpack training camp as their newest draft pick excited to join the team. He knows that he has a few more years in the SMJHL before he makes the jump but is excited to skate with the team. When he arrives though, he finds himself not at a rink but a river in the Canadian wild. "Wolves hunt Walleye you know!" A voice cries from the woods. With that Jack and the other Walleye rookies are chased through the woods in a wild game of tag. Having to use both their physical and mental strength to avoid getting caught. It is definitely not something that Jack expected going into his first training camp. By the end of the day Jack had managed to evade most of the team but was shivering from hiding neck deep in the river for hours. The team doctors had to work hard to keep him from suffering long term from hypothermia.
Training camp is super important for athletes. It shaves off all the rust from the off-season and is the best place to really work on your game and hone your skills. There's really no time during the season to do some of these specific drills so training camp is crucial to a great season.
During training camp, I focus on the physical side of the game. The mental side is developed throughout the season when you're put into different situations that you need to deal with. Training camp is the time to work on your skills and focus on the parts of your game you need to develop for the season. I love working on my skating and really improve on that. As a defenceman, I want to be able to skate every which way and move well. I work on my leg workouts and do a bunch of different skating drills to really stay sharp on my skates. I also make sure to work on my on-ice strength so I can handle the physical nature of the game and not get pushed around, especially on the boards.
Training camp is crucial and I love using it to really give time to developing my physical skills on the ice.

Anchor: With the next season of the SHL soon in play, teams are back onto the ice to practice. Our sports reporter spoke to a Detroit Falcons player about what the team does to get back into ice shape.
Reporter: The Falcons are out on the ice for the first time this season, and with new players via the draft and free agency it's interesting to see the chemistry start to form.
Bjelland: Yes, coach this year is making us focus a lot on core strength just to get back into shape. Some of us lose it over the offseason, but I always try to keep my strength up. It's a whole different ballgame when you are actually training with your team though.
Reporter: Bjelland told us the new players are fitting in already, and are growing accustom to the new training regiment.
Anchor: The Falcons play their first preseason game next week against St. Louis.
Elvar Gil-Galad is beyond excited for his first season in the SHL with the Chicago Syndicate. He has spent the off-season training hard both physically and mentally. His physical training has not differed since he joined the juniors four seasons ago. Everything to the max. Every opportunity to train and earn gains has been taken advantage of. He is prepared.
Mentally might be another story. Chicago is finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel after a few seasons of rebuild and Elvar will probably tested as the big bois of the league hope to take advantage of the rookie goalie. It's going to be hard to stay mentally focused as other teams may potentially score 5+ goals per game but Elvar knows the glory seasons are yet to come.
He hopes to just fit in and take the licks as Chicago hopes to improve on last season's results. There may be some stingers this year, but as long as Elvar stays positive for the future and finds his place in the Chicago line-up, all will be awesome in the next few seasons.
As a recent rookie on the Manhattan Rage, Ylib Kove has to take every opportunity he can get to participate in team activities like this. He'll try as hard as he can in the competition and refuse to go home to sleep in comfort early. He'd make sure to do a lot of work around camp to ensure he's not seen as a useless early vote out. His middle of the road physicality will also ensure he isn't seen as a physical threat early either. Jaromir Jagrbomb, Betzee Nickelback, and Celeste Desjardins will be some of the biggest threats to do well in competitions and Ylib can strategically hide behind them. His most likely ally in the game would be Elly Snow-Leopard because of the chemistry they've developed on ice together after playing on the same line as each other for the majority of their careers, dating back to their seasons with the Yukon Malamutes. Overall, I don't think Ylib will be able to win since he is fairly new to the team and hasn't developed strong enough bonds yet to have votes on his side for the entire game.
