I train to survive by doing 1000 squats and 1000 shots a day, which gets tough on the body but it's something that keeps me consistent and improves areas of my game, like having to hit the right spot at the right time when I shoot the puck. Or just being able to be strong on my skates and skate up the ice quick an be a better and stronger skater on the ice. I think these two things are what separates me the most and it even helps with my mental aspect of my game as this is tough and cocnsient work that I do every gaemt o get 1% better everyday. even eating right is something that I try to prioritize in my offseason and it could be the extra thing that separates me from my opponent or even my teammates. They see what I am doing and maybe they will try and copycat it and improve and we will get better as a team.

Option 2.
For Cade de Vries, All around training is important for himself, as while he does need to focus on his lower body training to make sure he can still get to his right defensive spots at the right time, he also needs to train his upper body to make sure his thunderous slapshots are as good as they can be, and his shoulders and forearms ready to make many opposition noses bloodied across the ice rink. He also needs to make sure mentally he is in the right headspace as he needs to be able to constantly trash talk the other team to make them not perform as well, but the preparation mentally into that comes into the "Its always easy to talk trash when your up, but very hard to talk trash while your down". With that balanced regiment, Cade de Vries can normally get ready for the season prepared in the unique way he does his own preperation himself |
