Name: John Gibson
Position: G #36 I am here from a friend of mine on the HO team (you may know as rojjter) User: o1playz ————— 1. I am still personally a high school student. So when I don’t have homework, im always online. (typically 3-4 hours daily) 2. The absolute best hot dogs are obviously grilled / barbecued 3. Rojjter made me very interested in to this league. I also joined the meta of ducks players you may have noticed. Go Ducks!!! 4. I would love to travel to the 90s. Beautiful time in life, I would also love to experience a good time. 5. Music and Hockey (specifically Rock) I could talk about for hours. 6. I’d be rocking a purple lightsaber. Resembling the balance between the Jedis and Siths. 7. I want to be a leader, im very confident in my player and push to be the best. Which has led me to early success in the Junior. 8. Everyone is human, and hockey is for everyone. While some may not support the LGBT due to religion, I would proudly wear a supporting jersey despite my religion. Love your neighbor as if yourself 9. Hockey (another reason as to why ive joined) 10. I am very indifferent to the French. Go USA 11. I’m not a huge book reader. To Kill A Mockingbird tells one of the best stories in my opinion. 12. It’s alot in the mentality, if youre willing to push further then you can continue to meet a larger potential. 13. Volunteering for my first hockey game. Goaltending that game was one of my favorite memories ever. 14. It’s certainly not the best, and not something I’d order all the time. But Yes. 15. Gretzky, Howe, Orr, Roy 16. Husky, very basic yet it fits me. I’m very energetic yet im also confident and brave. ![]() Registered Member Code: Player Name: Erik Johnson Code: How many hours a week do you usually have free? 4-16 ![]() ![]() Registered Junior Member

Position: Defenseman Recreate or First-Gen? First-Gen -Recreates: Who was your last player? -First-Gens: How did you find the site? My pal @ghamss recommended that I join in, it probably sounded like I had too much free time on my hands and needed something to do Full Discord Username: LongCon How many hours a week do you usually have free? (ie. 1, 3, 6+, etc.) I usually have between 3-6 hours free a week but it varies sometimes, the fall was busier this year so it may have been more like 3-4 but I expect the winter to be more like 4-5 hours free per week. What is the most optimal way of cooking a hotdog? Roasting it over a fire until that thing is ready to pop! What made you join the SHL? Pursuing my dream of being as good as @ghamss at something. Long way to go but I have to believe in myself now If you could travel back to any point in time, what would it be and why? I would travel back to re-live my wedding day, November 20, 2021. It was legitimately the best day of my life. First real party after experiencing the pandemic and such a fun time with all my closest family and friends If you had to give a 30 minute lecture from memory what topic would you choose? Soil formation processes in Canada, I would also dabble in ecological function of each soil type and how that changes the land uses in these areas today. What color would your lightsaber be and why? Red, not because I'm a villain, but just because I think it looks aggressive What kind of play style are you hoping to have for your player? Aggressive villain on the ice, but quiet, determined, and leads by example In honor of your team’s Pride Night, you’re being asked to wear a pride-themed warmup jersey to be auctioned off for the benefit of a local LGBTQ+ youth charity. How do you respond? Not only am I wearing that jersey, I'm also donating to that charity and offering additional pieces of game-worn memorabilia to increase the excitement around the auction Any hobbies you’ve been into lately? Been slowly getting into Magic the gathering, but I still need to buy my own cards so I can try to build a deck to play with friends What is your opinion on The French? I think french people from france are 10/10 the most sophisticated and cool people out there. French people from Quebec are great, I think that we have a lot of common interests between english-speaking Canada and french-speaking Canada, it's just not always promoted in the same way you hear about separatist movements/attitudes. It's really cool that we have our own pocket of a distinct french identity in Canada and it should be preserved. What is the best book you have read and why? (Comics included) There's a book called 419, it's based on internet scams and bounces back and forth between the perspective of the scammers and the victims. It's really interesting and it still stands as the only non-children's book that I was able to read in less than 2 days A young fish asked an old salmon, "How do you navigate the currents so well?" The salmon chuckled, "It’s just like hockey—know when to push and when to flow." What strategies do you use to navigate challenges on and off the ice? Good question. I like to think about trying to live in the moment and trusting your gut, not pushing for changes unless you can feel that it's the right choice. I also try to appreciate what positive things or negative things I've experienced, because all of the experiences help you improve into a more resilient person. If you could experience one thing in your life again for the first time, what would it be? (Book, movie, song, concert, etc.) I think I would go back to my experience catching a fish back on December 14, 2014. I had probably caught fish before that in my life, but this was the first time that I really experienced what it was like to pick the lure, cast it out, reel in the fish, etc. That's what really started my interested in fishing since then. I don't think there's much else that makes you feel more in-tune with nature. I still remember the feeling of satisfaction from feeling like I tricked the fish and won the battle. Pineapple on Pizza? Yes please What is your Mount Rushmore of hockey? Not sure what this means, if this is an event or something? I think my most significant experience with hockey was watching the Flames vs. Lightning stanley cup series and the controversial no-goal. I had never experienced feeling so cheated. I legitimately gave up on watching hockey for more than 10 years after that. If you were to choose a breed of dog you would most likely be, what would it be and why? Schnoodle, same breed as my dog now. She's so full of personality and has a good balance of chillin' out with the family and chasing the next fun thing to do, so things are always interesting when we're hanging out! |
