Early Season look-in for Nevada Battleborn
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() S79 recap The Battleborn had a tough season for having 23-37 sitting 4th last in the league they had the third highest goal difference in the league (in a bad way) and gave scare to Maine in the playoffs taking 2-0 series in the playoffs and then losing the next four but at least we got two. Overall the team did know that the team is rebuilding mode with 4 players from their team moving up from the Juniors to the big leagues. Going into the s80 the BattleBorn are looking for a bounce back season with their rookies from s79 going into the next year with more experience (more importantly more tpe applied) and making key draft choices in getting a goaltender and more scoring in drafting forwards. Battleborn were in a great position to have a great comeback year started great into the season but have fallen short since currently sitting 11th in the league at the time I am writing this. Squad Forwards The forwards for the BattleBorn conistit of Drew Mcintyre,Badger Hennessy,Slava Kassyaneko,Aurora Borealis, william Marshal,Wednesy Shrinetime,Mik Geno,Mikko Madeiskiy,Oscar Pieters and Ryan Fishman. The forwards mostly consisted of 1st or 2nd year players having a young team has pros of having to build around but has a con of being outmatched against the more experienced teams in the league. The main engine of the office will be Drew who is currently leading the points, assists and hits, an all-star selection is very likely and well earned. Another forward to note is Slava they are holding down the first line centre role and is also having a great season to start the season he's not only leading the team but they are of the best players in the league when it comes to the face off dot he is our most experienced man on the team thus is taking a big leadership role for the young forwards that are on the team Defence The Defence is made up of Arvinder Singh,Tony Bologna,Adam Daniels,Hip Hurts, Kiwi. I will forgo talking about myself (Arvinder Singh) and talk about the other key members of the defence core Tony is going our best 2 two way defenseman we have on our team and becoming for efficient in picking his shots when scoring with 15% shooting percentage (I know only 33 shots taken but its still pretty good) another Defence to note is Hip Hurts he is one the longest tenured members for the Battle Born now is his production on the offensive side has been declining for the last few season their defensive ability have improved with each season that has come they have lead the team in time on ice and short handed ice time, meaning the coach trusts this player and wants this player on the ice as much as possible Goalie The goalies for the Battle Born are Jack and Claude. They have been splitting starts to start the season. This is Jack's second season in the league and doing great to start the season with 8-5 record and a .888 save percentage he will be surpassing his games played total and is on track to have a great season to start the season. Claude is the rookie being the 4th overall pick in the last draft it can be big shows to fill, but Claude as well is having a great rookie year on still struggling Battle Born with a 3-7 record and a .887 save percentage where you might think this isnt great but on contrary this is their rookie year and these are great stats for a team that is still trying to find their footing. Overall Recap The Battle Born are on a great trajectory but need to put the pieces together they have the young talent with the leadership to match and a great GM at the helm it's only a matter of time before things start to click. Things aren't looking great right now but the future is bright (683 words) |
