Let’s have a party! Alright so to work out the party we have several games set up. Obviously a rob your neighbor gift game. We have a game where you pull on a string connected to a Christmas bow that you can’t tell which string is connected. The one you pull has a color matching bow on top of a party cup. You get the prize under that cup. We also have ginger bread house making game. With teams of 3 the person who makes the ginger bread house can’t see, the one who is communicating to the person who is making the ginger bread house can’t hear, and the person who is telling them how to make the ginger bread house can’t speak. Whoever makes the best ginger bread house wins.
We also have multiple food and beverage options. It was an awesome time. We played our favorite board game letters to white chapel. A Jack the Ripper game. t

I think the Argo Christmas party goes a little nuts this year. We've been in the throes of a rebuild for quite some time and Season 80 has finally brought that glimmer of what's to come. We're winning some games, we're looking good doing it, and it's only right that the Christmas party follows suit.
We finally have some solid results to celebrate and feel good about, so we hit the bars in Seattle with our Santa hats and a big cardboard boat that we all have to stay inside of while we travel. Each bar we have a few beers, sing a few carols as a team, then go outside and cram into our flimsy cardboard frame before waddling off to the next bar. A professional hockey team worth of muscular drunk men all crammed shoulder to shoulder in a shitty cardboard facsimile of a boat makes its way from bar to bar all night as we get more jovial / drunk and enjoy how far we've come as a squad. If we're finally gonna start stringing together some wins, I'd say we finally deserve some real fun too. It's just the beginning after all!

As if playing the last game before the Christmas break wasn't already special enough - because we all get time off - playing it against our biggest rival is even more important. I'm not entirely sure who our biggest rival is at the moment, but it has to be a team from our division and looking at our division right now - every point counts. We're not even a strong team this season, but half of the division doesn't seem to be much better, so of course my player will be extra-focused in OT and makes any save possible. I'm not sure how there can be a game winning save (unless we're talking about a shootout which I think we aren't), so the game winning goal will have to come from someone else on the team. We'll definitely get that Christmas Miracle and go out with more points than the other team. Winning always feels better than losing and you really don't want to lose in OT either. sigs either by @Wasty, @Nokazoa, @sulovilen, @Capt_Blitzkrieg, @sköldpaddor, @Ragnar, @enigmatic, @Lime or myself my portfolio | my sig shop | gfx discord

Julian was thrilled to be asked to help plan and organize this year's Minnesota Monarchs Christmas Party. Julian is a big fan of Christmas, and a huge boardgame geek. He was less thrilled when the rest of the committee shot down his idea to play the beta version of the new Hearts of Iron boardgame he managed to get his hands on, with every team member having to play as their home country. But quickly shifted gears, and opted to play the absolute banger of a party game Hitster instead. Apart from board games, Julian also likes music. So getting to compete against his teammates in both is the dream.
Foodwise, everyone in the team is expected to bring a dish that reminds them of home. Julian will bring a cheese fondue, to show his Swiss history and some Swiss chocolate to go with the coffee after dinner. Julian will also be in charge of ensuring there's plenty of drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We are a sports team after all).

Option 1: "Naughty or nice" is a false dichotomy, a binary choice enforced upon us by a megalomaniacal eldritch being who, 51 weeks out of the year, spies on the deeds of every last one of us to determine how we fit into his twisted matrix and decide whether we deserve praise or censure. It contributes to the trope known on TV Tropes as "Black and White Insanity" - not just the belief that morals are black and white, but viewing everything exclusively in black and white, or naughty and nice, with no comprehension of a grey area or the possibility of nuance. Is taking a boarding penalty a bad thing if it rules an opponent's star forward out for the rest of the game? If it leads to a game-winning goal for your side, do you class that as naughty or nice, Santa? ANSWER ME YOU BEARDED SON OF A BITCH.

As German I would have so much traditional things to bring up as idea. For Food you can have wild boar, deer, duck, goose, rabbit, beef, chicken, turkey or lamb. And you can of course bring up from 24th to 26th december different meat. To the meat we bring up dumplings, spätzle, croquettes or bread roll. With that we also can use red cabbage, green cabbage, chanterelles, other mushrooms beans or just mixed vegetables. Afterwards you can bring up some typical christmas sweets. We really love our food culture that is very old actually. For games we play card games like poker, skat, doppelkopf, UNO or just Mau Mau. But we also like to play games like monopoly, risk, taboo or azul. But we also still like games like hangmen, yahtzee or City, Country, River for some simple options. So yeah sometimes it is not easy to find the perfect food for everyone and also not the perfect game because we have so many different options.

Robo Sven would never miss the opportunity to plan the team's Christmas party. He has all sorts of ideas for games to play as a team, such as "Study the Tape", "Bag skates", and "Team Weightlifting". Robo Sven has had a great sophomore season, averaging over a point per game. However, the Hamilton Steelhawks are very much NOT having a great season, sitting at 8 wins to 17 losses. Now let's be clear: expectations were pretty low for the Steelhawks this year, as they're still solidly in the midst of a rebuild. But even in the midst of a rebuild, you have to be able to scrape out more than 10 wins in a 25 game stretch. So whoever put Robo Sven in charge of planning the team Christmas party made a mistake, because Robo Sven is completely convinced that the team has no time for recreational activities until they take care of business on the ice. Twas the game before Christmas, and all through the air, electric, as the San Diego Tidals faced fiercest rivals. A gruelling 60 minutes had seen the scoreboard glow 4-4, and now overtime was upon them. The stakes were high, and the arena was filled with cheers and nervous anticipation. Ever the steady presence, Ethan Cross was determined to bring a Christmas miracle to the Tides faithful. Ethan immediately won the faceoff and took control of the puck for overtime. With his 13 Passing rating, he threaded a perfect stretch pass to his other winger, creating a 2-for-1 opportunity. Rushing into the offensive zone, Ethan called for the puck back. With a perfect sliding pass from his teammate and 13 Shooting Accuracy, Ethan rifled a show low glove slide, breathing the sprawling goaltender and clinching the game-winning goal! Teammates mobbed Ethan as the arena erupted with celebrations! Ethan was the hero this Christmas Eve. Making sure the Tidals did not get coal in their stockings but hard-fought victory under the tree- a night to remember, full of hockey magic and holiday cheer! Happy Holidays! Code: 188 Words

Darby Reznor was surprised that he was chosen to be in charge of the Maine Timber holiday party, as he wasn't much of a party person. Still, he did his best to prepare, and started by ordering a lot of pizza from a local pizza place, along with buying quite a bit of soft drinks. Reznor does not drink alcohol, so no one was expecting him to buy beer or anything like that. Darby also got quite a few Blu-rays to watch at the party. For the most part, the party goes off without a hitch, and the pizza and other food including a ham Darby made from his mom's recipe was pretty delicious. The only crazy thing that happened was that some of the guests tried to skate around on one of Darby's skateboards, leading to one of them breaking the wheels off of a pretty rare one. They swore to Darby that they would eventually pay him back for the broken skateboard, and Darby will be sure to hold them to that.

Marek, by virtue of coming from a craft beer family, is a natural choice to be in charge of the team Christmas party. Furnished with a good amount of imported beer from Czechia, Marek plans out several different areas for merriment including a jackbox party pack station, a mario party station, and a games room with his rather large board game collection. In addition to the beer, Marek orders an absolute abundance of pizza. The most noteworthy event happened when Nor Ge, the rookie, was dared to eat an entire anchovy pizza on his own. He proceeded to lost the entire thing across the table later in the evening, which ruined a perfectly good copy of dominion he had been playing with Mark Jagerson and Johnny Shuffleboard. Being well paid athletes, the entire game was trashed rather than cleaned, and Nor Ge vowed to replace the game. Otherwise it was a pretty calm evening, with Cale Salad providing endless entertainment into the night as he refused to share the karaoke machine. -----------------------------------------------------

If Rence Sykut was in charge of the Seattle Argonauts' Holiday party there is one thing that would sure to be abound, and that thing is ham. Rence has an unhealthy relationship with ham and it comes out especially around the holidays. Therefore, the spread at the holiday function would consist of many types of cooked, cured, and smoked hams for everyone to indulge in. Aside from that, Rence also really enjoys baked goods, so naturally, a bake off among the Argonauts would be a must. Rence would supply a batch of his famous shortbread frosted cookies. Otherwise, the only other stipulation would be that no traditional Christmas music be played at the event since it has been known to send Rence into a blind homicidal rage and result in everyone having a bad time. The families of the victims are still recovering from the tragedy of the S76 Christmas party when "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" was inadvertently played during the Holiday party.

As a rookie, I had to help the team organizing the celebration of the Renegades. This year, we decided that the leader group would rent a big house where everyone (players plus family) will be able to enjoy some quality time and other houses so they can sleep there. I've helped with planning activities for the players, as I don't have a family so I will leave that part to the others. So drinking games, sports games, boards games and electronics games. Don't really want to make it like a competition as not everybody will want to participate in all the games, but at least there will be something for all. Food is not reaslly my specialty, but I will help during the night bringing food and drink so everyone will have a good time. As the younger one of the team, I will have to watch myself, but I will surely have fun with some much people to talk to! |
