It's game night, and it's time to get hyped. What are the Grizzlies listening to when it's Matti's turn to set the playlist?
Miasma - Ghost Sometimes you don't need vocals. Sometimes all you need is a steady buildup to a slapping sax solo. It's got everything you need to get revved up when you step into the locker room, ready to go. Levels - Avicii Here's where it starts to get going. You come in, you're getting geared up, you need to get the energy in the room going. This one's bouncy and fast-paced, perfect for filling that niche. Tokyo Drifting - Glass Animals with Denzel Curry In the words of Dave Bayley, "Ain't nothing better." He also says, "Wavey Davey's on fire," but we'd rather avoid any combustion-related incidents in the Grizzlies' locker room, thank you. This song's got you covered if you're looking for something that hits a little hard, and that bass drop's sure to get the blood pumping. Mr. Brightside - The Killers Listen, it's a classic for a reason. Every playlist needs a song you can sing along with, and this one fits the bill every day of the week. In fact, I'd almost argue that a pregame playlist without Mr. Brightside is seriously lacking! Around the World / Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger - Daft Punk The arena's full. The crowd's getting louder and louder, the roar echoing down the tunnel. It's time to knuckle down, focus, and get serious. "Work it." ![]() [pbl

In our lockeroom in Kelowna, we indeed have many songs that we love to play before games but 5 really step put from the lot.
1: Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd. We have one of our teamate, Erik Johnson listening to this song before everygame, it is his ritual. And to be fair its a great song so the whole team listen to it from time to time. 2: Rockstar by Nickelback Now this is a song from one of our gm's favorite group so sometimes when hes there we put it. And yes. Nickelback songs are bangers.(sorry for the haters) 3: Going kokomo by Royel Otis This song is more of a personnal choice. When I listen to it, it brings me nostalgia of all the problems I surpassed to be who I am today for some reasons, its just really nostalgic. 4: Eye of the Tiger by Survivor For some obvious reasons we play that song many times troughout a season : it motivates everybody and is a symbole of hustle because of the lyrics. 5: Dont stop me now by Queen This song is played many times after wins and is just pushing us to break our limits and go on to continue to play well and keep the victory streaks when we have some. ![]() Registered Broke
Alright alright we got some jams in the Thunder Bay johnson going hard on the ice.
Number 1 we got the Classic Hood Blues by DMX ft Griselda. Do I even need to say anything? That song goes insanely hard. Wow. WE are hyped up now to say the very least. Number 2 We have a medley of Paul Atriedes Speech from dune 2 paired with the Atriedes anthem. Those bagpipes are crazy and even through paul may be kinda genocidal and crazy hey man he gets the people going. Number 3 we got That song by gracie abrams. Hows she gonna get you off or whatever. That song is good. Number 4 we have The entire up Album by shania twain. Ok. I'm not even going to do a hear me out on this one. Absolute classic. Can not beat her at any point. Number 5 we finish out with lets go crazy by prince. Thats our skate out song I guess. Go walleye. ![]() ![]() Registered Member
My5 song included in the team playlist are very simple
Hypnosis by sleep token Loud aggressive guitar and drums with breaks for vocals it’s one of the songs I listen to when I’m working out as I can switch my brain of and just enjoy the sound also the intro gives un expecting staff a fright some times Duality by slipknot A classic in my eyes and reminds me of playing hockey back in Scotland as it was on the team playlist back then some teammates think I’m a little crazy for liking it Drink don’t need no mix by shaboozy A new song to me but after tipsy was put on the playlist I found this and thought it fits my vibe as the “resident drunk tank member “ a new nickname given to me by a certain teammate The end by bilmuri After hearing this live it became a favourite of mine just an all round good song that it well like by the team and all round enjoyed I write sins not tragedies by panic at this disco Another throw back that instantly throw me back to me being 13/14 and falling in love with the game of hockey due to listening to in on long bus journey to play teams . In Kelowna it’s the same thing when the intro start and 3 or 4 people start singing along it’s a instant vibe |
