Minnesota and Montreal only got one player selected to the tournament, despite there being two more teams than there has been in the past. Pick a player from either of the teams that you think should have made it, or would be the best option if we wanted to ensure each team has more than one player taking part in the event. And who would you remove from the team to make room for them? Would you consider it a swap that should be done or do you agree with the all-star committee and think that even the second best option is a bit too far from the player that made it into the team?

If this is to return for next season which players you would like to see making it to the All-Star EXPO81 from each division. What criteria would you use? You can post your All Star Week podcasts to Podcast section under League Media and get paid for length that exceeds requirement for 4 TPE, for example for 30 minutes two person podcast both participants would get 4 TPE for their ASW and have exceeding 15 minutes graded under regular podcast pay scale as long as it meets regular podcast requirements. For Podcast to be eligible for TPE and not to be treated just as regular podcast following requirements needs to be met.
- Title needs to mention ASW or All Star Week, for example you can add [ASW podcast] at the end of the title.
- ASW topic(s) need to be covered at the beginning of the podcast for 10 minutes (1 person) or 15 minutes (2 persons) after which other topics can also be talked about.

I dont like the new format at all. I believe there is now way too many players making it to the all star games and it is losing its value from it. It is meant to be milestone for the best players to make it to the roster and now that there is like 20 players making it from each division it doesnt even feel like big achievement to make it there. For the people who wouldnt normally make it, propably will feel good about it, but as event that was meant to be just for the best of the best it does not make any sense in my mind.

3. What would you do to spice up the new All-star format even further? 160 words 8/8 tpe
I think what they should try is what the nba did, that we get to vote for the 2 captains and then the captains get to draft their rosters in a live stream. That would be pretty cool way to reward the best players and would get the community more involved in it. I think the commitee should take it to the consideration and make it happen. Other way I thought of is that if this new expo tournament is the new way that they are going forward with is to have for example 2 gm's selected from each divisions to manage a team and then have a cash price to the winning team or have a some kind of incentives for example getting goals, assists, blocks, hits etc. That would be pretty fun way to reward the players during the games too. I believe that would also make more people watch those games and see how their player does.

I really like this new format. That brings back HoF players and with that some past historic players. I was very surprised to see that and I hope we will see many different HoF players as guest players in the future. I will root for it. It is always an honor to see these historic names once again. I also like the number of legends. I was at the first moment totally speechless and that isn't very often in my life. So you all from the Awards Committee got me with that idea. Thank you a lot for this new format. --> 101 words = 2 TPE

At first I am very honored to be one of the first legendary HoF players to be in that new format with VLAD McZehrl. I am still totally speechless and can't wait to see this small tournament. But from my current team the Texas Renegades we have several players included in a different division. The easiest call up was Chris Valentine with his dominant season. In the end of the regular season their production dropped a bit but it was a really nice season for him. The second one we need to mention is Anthony Dionne. He is for a very long time in the SHL and still brings up season for season a top performance and that is incredible. I don't know when the regression will have a true effect on him. Next on the list is Marton Diehm. He also had a very strong season and was one of the reasons for the dominant performance of Texas in the first half of season. But also Konig Wolf did show some power and had a good chemistry in Texas. The last but not least ist Jack St.Clair. He also was a top forward this season. That makes four forwards and one goalie for Season 80 and that is really impressive and amazing. VLAD McZehrl can’t wait to play against the Texas Renegades Allstars. --> 225 words = 4 TPE

3. What would youdo to spice it up even more?
Well with the inclusion of HoF players and making it a mini tournament, I don't think there is any reason to keep the format to be division based in the actual play. I think you make the Hall of Fame players into Captains/General Managers of four teams and everyone goes into a pot. The Hall of Fame players then select their own teams. This will make for some interesting combinations and rivalries on the ice. Will the Hall of Famers try to keep line mates and team mates together, will they intentionally divide them up. Will some have an idea to pick an interesting combination of positional players to set up the team? I think this would definitely add some extra spice to each All Star game. You can even switch up the make up of the rosters each season, but one thing is sure, even if the same players make it season after season, you will still have a different game as the selection of the teams would always be different.

13. Hall of Fame Reps.
Originally, my thought was no. Hall of Famers in the All Star game should be for a special reason and year only. But then I had an epiphany and I say, Yes, I think this could be an effective new addition to all of the All Star games going forward. However, see my post above about how we should change the All-Star game team compositions. I think it should not be just any HoF that are elected to the All Star festivities, but to what shoudl happen is each new class elected to the Hall of Fame should then become the Coaches/GMs of the All-Star game. I am not sure of the timing of the Hall of Fame announcement normally, but it should now be down as part of the All Star Festivities and the first part is the unvailing of the new Hall fo Fame Class. That would keep it as a special occasion.
