With @Rich stepping down after being fileworker for 5 years, I wanna make this thread as a thank you thread for the amazing work he's done. Rich has been singlehandedly carrying the shl filework since I took over as Head and even before then. Rich's work kept this league working smooth with no hiccups and I feel like he deserves recognition for all the work he did these past 5 years.

I asked some GMs to write a thank you message for him that I will share below:

And from me, thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a wonderful person, worker, and presence in the department. Thank you for all the smooth work you did for years, without a bump in the road. Genuinely can't remember the last time there was an issue with the shl file at all. You made my job as dep head much easier for essentially doing all the filework for the league in such a short time. Your help with the transition was also tremendous, you trained your successors well. Thank you for your time Rich, I hope you enjoy this extremely well deserved break Smile

The SHL has been a substantial part of my life for nearly 10 years now.

I've been happy to contribute a handful of my hours to something I've enjoyed for so long.

I'm not leaving the league or anything, but I want to dial back my commitments a bit. I have plans to recreate in a few seasons, and I've told myself I want to take it easier. We'll see how that goes. I've already written a deep dive, so maybe not the best start.

Thank you to everyone in the league. Every one of you makes this league the wonderful place that it is.
