KeK - 3 TPE

Code:

Code:
Written, 50 to 200+ words each. Short Prompts
2. Which team has had the easier road to the cup finals? Do you think they could have made it to the finals if they were in a different division?
4. Despite being very heavily in regression, Tampa Bay’s Jølngüštrâädüvich DuBølk, Rikkert Biemans and Johnny Wagner-Svenson are still producing at very respectable rates. Is having depth players who can perform really well despite being low on TPE responsible for TBB’s recent success this and last postseason?

2 - Are you kidding me? Maybe I'm a little biased being a part of Tampa, but look at our regular season compared to San Francisco. The Pride and their players have dominated the season and it has clearly converted into the playoffs. While with a bad record, Tampa bay has went against the top three teams in the regular season including the Forge and the Inferno, not to mention the New England Wolfpack's who have been playoffs menaces for multiple seasons.

You could definitely argue that if the Barracuda were to be in the west, or vise versa with the Pride, it would be easier or harder to make it to the finals, however, I firmly believe that the Barracuda had the harder bracket. Maybe its because the Barracuda are bad, but they have shown more struggles than the Pride. For example, with down 3-1 in the Forge series the Barracuda have barely climbed back up to win. Furthermore, in the 3rd round, they faced against the Wolfpack who almost reverse swept them. While the Pride never went further than 6 games in their matchups. In terms of hardships and challenges, the San Francisco Pride had the easier road to the finals. (Also, Tampa Bay (11), Philadelphia (3), Atlanta (2), New England (8) is an average of 6 compared to San Francisco (1), Winnipeg (15), Seattle (5), New Orleans (6) of an average of 6.75)  ---- (200 + words -> 4 TPE)

4 - Although the regressions, all teams require depth to reach it to the finals, and both the Barracuda and the Pride have that factor that led them to the finals. In my opinion, depth is the most important factor to success in the playoffs, and with the lower TPE forwards producing for the Barracuda, everyone is contributing which creates consistency and consistency creates success. (63 words --> 1 TPE)

3 + 4 + 1 = 8TPE

Trivia: Karey

Written Option 8:
I definitely have a preference for San Francisco pride winning this year‘s challenge cup. I think having a team win three in a row is something that we haven’t seen in the 75 seasons of our league, but would be a wonderful statistical breakthrough that cements their success as a team and it’s always fun being part of history and being able to watch the dominance of this franchise over the past five seasons should be something we recognize and sit back and enjoy.

Written Option 10:
It’s clear that San Francisco pride are gonna be the winners again. Their team is just too strong and they’ve already made the finals and won the cup two times before they are historic run right now as a team. The problem with our league is that the SIM engine realize on chemistry so much that you get these powerhouse teams who just seem role without opportunity to break them up because there aren’t many teams and chemistry is so important to the league.

Their historic run is partly due to great success as a team and management, but also due to the same engine really liking the chemistry of their roster. I think that if there was more turnaround within their roster, you would see larger discrepancies, and those adjustments affect the ability for the team to gel which means that it’s harder to be successful in the long run Their victory against the Tampa Bay barracuda is impressive because they’ve now won three in a row, but when you look at the Tampa Bay roster, they don’t have the same fire power at San Francisco which means that not only do you have a offensive dynamo team you also have chemistry helping San Francisco be victorious.

1) Trivia: done  Should be 3TPE

2)  ISLF affifliate PT3 TPE

Code:
10. Written, 50 to 200+ words. What do they do different?

We’ve seen Tampa Bay and San Francisco make the finals twice in a row
and both 3 times in the last 5 seasons. What do they do differently that
other teams should follow for better success in their future playoff
runs?

Well, what do they do differently?  That is a good question.  I will start the focus on the San Francisco Pride as I believe I see something that they do that has allowed them to keep at the top of the game and being in their conference I have watched them better as well.  My former SMJHL GM is also on that team so I did follow it.  They clearly have the highest distribution of top level TPE players in the league.  This allows them to match up lines in any way they like as they are all pretty similar and with a lot less drastic drop off from the top players to the bottom than other teams have to deal with.  So, they can match up their top players against other teams' bottom lines and so have a cumulative advantage.  And how are they able to have such a higher floor of TPE players?  Looking at it, it seems that they sacrifice their farm system.  While other teams have normally 4-6 prospects in their system ready to take over for aging or just players moved in FA, SF seems to never have any players in their farm system.  Right now they only have one prospect in their system.

CW Trivia - Blast

14. Volatile Results
Volatility and chaos is what makes the International Ice Hockey Federation fun, just because the tournament didn't turn out as chalk doesn't mean that it was a bad tournament. Single elimination is the heart of the actual International Ice Hockey Federation tournament and the thought behind the Simulation Hockey League playoffs, when we have the regular season which leads to teams having a multi game series to determine whomst is the best. Players are always able to move able in regular season to try to find a team that suits their play style or find the right culture fit. International Ice Hockey Federation is meant to be a standing point in the life cycle of a player where they get to play a handful of games that lead to a one game playoff to determine which country get the bragging rights. The fun of the short tournament is having a short final bracket play that leads to the champion. The fun in the single elimination is that if the higher seed is knocked out it becomes any body's game in the following rounds. Personally would hate to see International Ice Hockey Federation tournament turn into a multi game series.

Written Option 6 (84 Words – 1 TPE)
Unlikely to take an offer that seems to good to be true (and likely back home in Korea at this point anyway. Ju-gong would almost certainly privately text back whoever invited them, and ask for clarification as to why they are in this text group. Thankfully a simple invite to see a hockey game is hardly something to be up in arms about. But most certainly had it been for anything important, there would need to be strict accountability for whoever made the error.

Written Option 8 (157 Words – 3 TPE)
As is a long standing tradition, I will as always consult the magical and unpredictable power of the coin flip to decide who the winner will be. Generally these results have been rock solid accurate, but last time around we had a 0-4 sweep for the wrong team, so the coin is certainly needs to prove itself a bit. Given SFP are the home side, they will take heads on the coinflips, meanwhile TBB will be tails. No reason to delay, let the wisdom of the universe speak its mind! Game 1 – Heads (SFP lead 1-0), Game 2 – Heads (SFP lead 2-0), Game 3 – Heads (SFP lead 3-0), Game 4 – Tails (SFP lead 3-1), Game 5 – Heads (SFP win 4-1). Honestly I feel like the coin flip had a strong showing here, as most people at surface level would take SFP to win. It also happens in a very logical manner, so hopes are high this season!

Written Option 11 (216 Words – 4 TPE)
As a player on the team, I would be remiss not to talk about all the good things happening in Montreal with this space. Not only has the team been making huge strides in recent seasons, but the TPE and results continue to climb. It was only a few seasons ago now that Montreal had their legendary (second) worst season of all time. Even last season, Montreal didn’t even make it into the playoffs; however, that all changed with this most recent campaign. From finishing 3rd in the East, to being 1 game away from the conference finals, Montreal made a massive jump that had been long in motion. The best part? That jump should only continue to improve on itself for the next few seasons. With almost no players in regression, a forward first line that all just broke 2k TPE, and a ton of mid 1000’s players climbing closer to 2k, there is no reason to think that the momentum in Montreal will be slowing down anytime soon. The biggest road block to this team approaching is almost certainly the expansion draft, where a few of these top players may have to move on, but otherwise, expect to see the Patriotes fighting for top seeds and cup in the next few seasons to come!  Patriotes
