You know, finding it a bit of a struggle to care about Ovechkin breaking the goal record. He’s obviously not as good as Gretzky was at the time and the game of hockey has changed so much. Feels like a neat little fact but not much more, especially if guys like Matthews can get close.

Need to start thinking about deep dive topics to write about. Hopefully not something too boring, maybe a historical retrospective on an SHL team or a history of team performance in their first season after expansion.
