It’s such a weird and powerful thing to be loved and needed by a child. You know they’re gonna grow up and realize that you’re just human, just like you’ve already done with your own parents, but at the moment, they’re small and they need you. No matter how you feel about yourself, how worthy you feel of the love you’re given by others, this little tiny person needs you, to be their safe place, to be that person who will unconditionally be in their corner. They don’t know you’ve had a shitty day, or what the rest of the world thinks of you, to them, you’re just mom, the person they go to when they wake up from a bad dream, and that’s not conditional either. Even if you’re feeling pretty down on yourself, they still see you as like…the sun, and you just have to get off your butt and be the person they deserve even when you feel like you don’t deserve them.

Anyway chirp or whatever.
