Minnesota GM Hiring Reaction

the yoghurt also adds some acidity, to cut through the sweetness of the other ingredients.

what might work is if you sub the yoghurt for bourbon, the condensed milk for bourbon and the strawberries for bourbon. And add an icecube.

It just seems pretty condescending towards minnesota and the active and engaged members of the team to make a decision like this with zero consultation from the team. These players wanted to band together behind waters to move minny forward, and this just comes off like HO was willing to disregard how they felt entirely just because of the team's past repeating cycles of failure. Minnesota went through a shitshow offseason where no one really knew what was going on, Waters navigated that best he could as interim GM, and had the full support of the team as a result. To me that matters more than who a perceived "better candidate" might've been in HO's eyes, and its a gross misstep in the process to not consider those who make up the tight core of the team right now.

This is not to knock Cord as a GM at all, I know he is a very able GM, and he was robbed not getting one of the expansion spots after all. This just feels like a blatant disregard of the shared feelings of an entire team, and it appears like its manifesting itself in people wanting to leave when they were excited for the upcoming process

I'm thinking something like pastrami and colby jack sliders on hawaiin rolls but baking it in the oven with some garlic butter. I also have some strawberries cut up with sugar so they macerate and make me a puree later too.
https://simulationhockey.com/showthread....pid2799475 I'm suggesting this little gem

"So for those wondering I decided to do some meal prep today.

I made about 4 lbs of lemon garlic chicken breast cubed to go with an caramelized onion and bacon cream sauce.

I let the chicken marinate in a mix of lemon juice, olive oil, and minced garlic all night before throwing it in the slow cooker on low for about 4 hours with a tiny bit of chicken stock/marinade to keep it moist. Stirring every hour and then doing 1 hour on high to get some good color on the chicken.

For the sauce I caramelized 3 large vidalia onions(diced roughly) for about 1 hour in butter until nicely browned. At the same time threw 1.5 lbs of bacon in the oven for 20 minutes at 400 to get it cooked nicely. I use 2 large sheet trays, lined with foil for easy clean-up. After that came out and cooled I roughly chopped it into pieces. I grabbed the bacon fat for the next step
I made a roux with flour and the bacon fat from cooking. Then I added some sour cream and milk to really add a creamy flavor. Once that got to boiling I set it to simmer and added the onions and bacon to pump the flavor up a notch.

Once that was getting close to done, I got some water boiling and added some medium shells. Brought it to slightly undercooked before draining and adding to the cream sauce. Cooked that for just a few minute before plating next to some of the chicken.

I did a simple side salad of lettuce, green onion, cucumber, and croutons to balance out the rich flavor of the pasta dish and chicken. Worked really well for my first attempt at it." - Spartangibbles

unfortunatly, I'm not sure you'll want to be eating at 11PM so maybe something else on second thought

I used to think it was HO's job to sit here and take lumps for every decision they made, until I one day made a boneheaded decision and had to take my lumps and realized that the league is big and very angry, and it was NOT enjoyable. I ate shit on the site for WEEKS for running NOLA's tactics and "breaking the sim" and it was such a negative experience that I stepped away from the league for a long time.

When I came back I avoided the forums and just updated, did what I needed to do to participate and found that I enjoyed the league much more.

I'm also older now, and I realize that we're all ostensibly on this site, in this league, to have a good time. Being HO, management, IIHF HO, banking team, fuckin media team, whatever, you name it, you're willingly giving up some of your enjoyment of the league and free time in the effort to make things run smoothly and (hopefully) improve the experience for other users. When you're in league management, you realize that every decision you make has positive and negative effects, but you still do what you think is best for the league knowing that some decisions will be unpopular and you'll have to put up with it.

I used to think it's outrageous for HO to lock a thread where people are "sharing their opinions" about a "controversial hire/decision/punishment", but now I realize that it's just the same screeching and arguments every time over every decision and it's not productive. It's just screaming into the void. You're just yelling at HO because they let you, and then yelling some more when they don't. It's lose/lose for them.

These are people sacrificing their free time to make the site more enjoyable for the majority of people. Sorry your guy didn't get picked. Doesn't give you an excuse to drag people down to your level. Move on.

The ice cube works to make the bourbon colder, in this instance.
