Does anyone else find I overly comical that a team called the monarchs is in controversy over a nepo hire? Full disclosure idk anything about this and while the surface level "HO hired HO" sounds scandalous enough. My understanding is the hire was qualified. For flavor HO needs to post something like "Let them play hockey"

I can understand the frustration from an outside perspective, especially with Waters being already familiar with the team and is already involved. I can say to BOTH him and Uptown, they're both good users, so both have what it takes to be a GM. Maybe there's more involved in the application which lead to the decision for Uptown to get the nod. In an ideal world, both are a good GM/Co-GM Tandem. But to anyone in Minnesota who is a bit shocked with the decision, maybe hit up Uptown in the next few days, if you don't know him, get to know him a bit, see his vision/mindset for the team, then make your decision. I can get the anger, but sometimes taking a second to breathe, and talk, can help a bit.
