Be A GM is so damn slow when simming, lol.

So I took Carolina and totally gutted the team, yet I have won 48 games so far (48-22-5). I did pick up Giroux (traded Staal in a deal for him) and last time I checked he had 76 points in 62 games.

Seems a bit better than NHL 11, although I didn't notice too much difference in the gameplay when I played in the Winter Classic. I'm mainly into Be A GM though, so I haven't really checked out any other game modes.

Oh and trade values are finally more realistic, although that makes it harder to trade.

I find it so easy to stack up a team in this. I took the Oilers in one and put up this together, currently July 2014:

Hall(92) - RNH(95) - Eberle(88)
Yakupov(87 - Grigorenko(85 - MacKinnon(81)
Paajarvi(88) - Johansen(85) - Ryan(91)
Granlund(83) - Backlund(83) - Hemsky(88)

Myers(88) - Larsson(89)
Kulikov(87) - Hamilton(85)
Murray(82) - Murphy(83)
Ellis(84) - Gudbranson(83)

Price(94)

After playing this some more, I have figured out that this shit is so easy.

I'm Ottawa and here's my team:

Sean Couturier (80) - Ryan Johansen (80) - Bobby Ryan (89)
Joffrey Lupul (83) - Jonathan Huberdeau (70) - Phil Kessel (87)
Nikita Filatov (77) - Brayden Schenn (75) - Gabriel Landeskog (81)
Drayson Bowman (75) - Mike Comrie (81) - Jody Shelley (78) (Fillers until the draft/FA)

Jake Gardiner (79) - Erik Karlsson (83)
Brian Lee (79) - David Rundblad (78)
Kevin Marshall (74) - Paul Mara (82) (Fillers)

Ilya Bryzgalov (87)
Marty Turco (83)

I have Brandon Gormley in the farm (sent him back to Juniors). So he'll take Mara's spot after this current season. I have Puempel, Zibanejad and Mikael Granlund who will take Comrie, Shelley and Bowman's spots after the season. Hoping to upgrade Lee, Bowman and Filatov soon. Oh and I have Igor Bobkov and Jussi Rynnas in the pipeline for goalies.

Trading is so damn easy.

Just picked up Dougie Hamilton and Dylan McIlrath for a couple of scrubs lmao.

McIlrath is a scrub in these games

I hate making trades for like lower-level prospects like Drayson Bowman, since you usually have to give up something semi-decent.

I gave up like a 3rd or some shit for Bowman and then like a terrible Ottawa prospect for McIlrath.

Grabbed Hodgson, McKegg, Brad Ross, Smith-Pelly, Frattin, Etem, Rattie and Brendan Gallagher. lol so easy

Unless you changed every prospects potential Hodgson will be the only one that ends up being anything

Why do they make simulating take so damn long. I spend more time simulating than I do playing.

:stomp:

Other than some gameplay modifications, its not much of an upgrade on NHL 11. Hopefully they make 13 much better.

Probably won't be buying NHL 13 unless it blows everyone away. 11, and 12 were huge disappointments imo.

If you guys haven't noticed, they odd numbered years are always where the big jumps happened and the even numbers are for tweaking.
