S82 PT #4: Hero Hockey League Due: Sunday, May 18th @ 11:59 PM PST

Captain Obvious is obviously a hero in his own right, by helping players, teams, and fan all save on hotels when they travel with Hotels.com. He has some amazing powers, like saving money on travel costs, not scoring goals, and generally being an ineffective hockey player.

Captain Obvious has many villains he fight on a regular basis. Rising cost of living, inflation, and the back of a hockey net. However, one stand la above all, and that is the Progressive girl Flo. She is so stuck up and thinks that she can save people more money than him.

Captain Obvious uses his strong saving ability to combat Flo's ineffective marketing campaign, her terrible insurance rates, and her lies about how much the average person can save. Hotels.com and Captain Obvious gives you immediate savings with no loopholes or insurance adjusters to fight with, just simple and instant savings for anyone and everyone, friend or foe. Wait no... Not foes... Duh...

What make Abby Wright Bach a hero on her team is her ability to be a team player. Everyone wants someone who's there to cheer them on no matter what's happening, who's willing to put the hard work in order to top all the other teams in the league and to put herself second to see her teammates shines. It's one of the reason that she's a goaltender. Last line of defense when everyone's plan didn't work out and the last step before a goal. If she's not on top of her game, the whole team is not on top, so there's never a day off in this line of work. It's also a great job that she have to split with someone else, making it another part of sacrifice that she has to keep in mind, but make herself shine as a hero. Also, let's be real, another big part of heroism in the shl is being able to focus on what's in front of you and not all the noises around.

A hero for the sports team is probably the person that keeps everyone focused on their objective. They are the person that motivates the entire team, makes sure the whole roster is feeling as good as they can be, and solves any problems that may arise for their teammates. They will put in extra workouts and make sure their teammates are fit and rested for every game. They help them stay organized and always improving physically or technically to improve their chances on the ice. Sometimes they can even help with off the ice issues including lending an ear for a teammate to vent about interpersonal issues; just being a good friend. Ultimately, a hero is a team leader; someone who truly believes in the team's goals and wants to do everything they can to ensure the team does the best they can. Edouard Lavoie definitely tries to be that person, helping his teammates be as good as they can be, but he mostly just tries to lead by example.

I dont know what you are talking about ‘in an alternate world’, because my player is a super hero right here and right now. Their super powers are being extremely good at hockey, as well as being able to teleport but only when opening a door, and only to the other side of the door. They do have villains and it’s exactly the people you would expect. Such scum and villainy like HFFO and rojj, calling them supervillains is a bit of a stretch though and a little too much credit. They would never turn my player into a comic book or anything because its so predictable, its just me being so damn good at hockey over and over again while everyone else loses. I’m almost tired of winning so much. Some even recommended I go with the superhero name super charlie sheen because of how much I just win. Hopefully I can get my own mcdonalds special edition meal just like grimace.

Prompt 2:

With the regular season coming to a close, Gappy was asked by the media if he was considered a hero of the Tidal this past season. Obviously with their abysmal record, Gappy was quick to say that he felt that he wasn't anywhere close to the hero that fans believed in him with his poor play. He did however want to say the true hero of the team and the one that rallied everyone together (and who actually hasn't played overall terrible is none other than Emiliano L Hefe, the rookie sensation. Hilmore gave nothing but praise to Hefe as the main locker room personality as well as putting their heart and soul every time they are on the ice. Because of this Gappy is looking to develop himself as a leader and locker room presence, not just as a player. With the Tidal's season pretty much over, Gappy will have the ample time he needs to lock in and be that leader he wants and knows he can be.

Written Option 1:

Matti finds himself as one of a hivemind of goalie superheroes, known individually as 'Bricks'. Together, they become 'The Wall'. When the call goes out, each Brick finds themselves summoned to the point of distress, and as one, they form together to block the evildoers from progressing.

Of all the villains The Wall is most concerned about, it is rival Forwards that draw the most worry. Roving gangs of Forwards - supported, of course, by their ever-loyal Defense - frequently seek to break through The Wall in any number of ways: a slapshot rush, a deke and dodge, or rarely the hard-to-predict lacrosse toss from behind. There's no greater shame for a Brick in The Wall, though, than to let in an underhanded five-hole attack.

Matti, even as part of the hivemind, pays special attention to the roving Forwards in gold and red: the Scarecrows. There's no group he wants to block more than them.

Prompt 2

I think that’s a great question. What makes a hero on and off the ice. Well, let’s start with on it! I think of course, what comes to mind is scoring the big goal, or maybe even a big save! But I think it can be so much more than that. It’s about sacrificing yourself, putting it all on the line and giving it everything you’ve got. Blocking that shot, taking that hit. Going 110% even when you’re down and out. Rising to the occasion when you’re needed most. Off the ice? I think a hero is a player who leads. Not just with their words, but with example. Gives everything they have, be it in the gym, in the locker room, wherever! A player who isn’t afraid to speak up, call people out (including themselves!) for the greater good of the team! That’s what I’d say a hero is

Jiggle E Puff is a hero in many ways. The Atlanta Inferno of the Simulation Hockey League are a team of high character players who all do their best to be incredible people, but Jiggle is by far the most incredible of the bunch. Jiggle accomplishes this by motivating the team on and off the ice by giving motivational speeches, being a mentor and leader to the squad, and helping with the little things in life outside of playing hockey. Jiggle keeps a google calendar of all the other player's moms, dads, significant others, and kids birthdays so that he can remind his fellow inferniacs of important upcoming dates. Additionally, he keeps track of anniversaries. He tries to take every new draft pick of the inferno to not only ensure they become the best hockey player they can be, but also to ensure they become the best person they can be as well. This leadership is why Jiggle E Puff is the hero that Atlanta needs!

Jamie Fraser has a long history of going well above and beyond for his people as a hero and a leader. While he probably would not compare any of his on ice or modern day leadership to his past where he was conducting rescue missions and defending his homeland and family from the British, Jamie has always been classified as a high character man and while that mostly would apply to his somehow indefinite quest to track down what happened to his wife Claire, he is also known for stepping up in defense of his teammates and staff in much the same way he did in his past life. He would not care to have the hero definition thrown on him, he is full of himself but not in the way that he needs recognition, because it is more or less what he considers the right way to go about his business.

1.
Erkki Kaila's alter ego is Super Green Overalls Man. He tried originally calling himself Super Luigi, but he was quicky sued by Nintendo for copyright infringement. And because it's Nintendo, they got their way.
So Luigi, as he's still called by the public dishes out special hockey pucks. On each puck, a, billionaire's name. When he shoves the puck down their throats, the chemical compound compells them to give all of their money away to major trustworthy charities.
Luigi's #1 arch enemy is none other than Felon Musk. A moronic man-child who was born into extreme privilege, and now wages war on the poor, the targeted, and disenfranchised.
The 2 of them met only once before. And in their epic fight, Felon fled the fight, Luigi could only try to catch him with one of Felon's own microwave trucks which exploded when Luigi turned the ignition. It wasn't booby trapped, it's just a piece of shit.

Option 1:

With how he is already, who needs an alternate world? Roquefort may be hockey star by day, but he is rat hero at night. Cunning, brave, suave and worldly are just some of the words used to describe the rodential protagonist. He prowls the city streets in search of danger, his robust snout twitching in the air as he turns through the labyrinthian alleys and sewage ways. His otherworldly sense of smell guides him to his foe - the notorious "Brick Wall Bunch"'. Their stench permeated throughout the town, marking their territory. Roquefort would approach with a swift step and quiet agility - weaving in and out of cover in constant effort to avoid their sneaky cameras, deliberately placed to capture every bit of action possible. It's said they feed off the emotions of the people, and cook up dinner by provoking a hearty stew of grief and misfortune amongst the common man. A glimpse in his periphery - Roquefort's gaze pans upward and he sees it: the dashing rogue of a rodent's silhouette longingly beckoning him amongst the stars.
