Getzlaf is staying in Anaheim he's said several times he wants to stay he told Bobby he was resigning (hence why Bobby signed long term) and he's the captain of the team, I legitimately see no way he's leaving Anaheim, Perry is another story

This is a pretty fair value offer.

Realistically the only one I see the Leafs getting could be Weiss, the price tag isn't ridiculous and with a legit winger on his line he could be potent

That trade would never happen. Ever. If we trade Kessel(which I don't think will happen) Trade him to Columbus for Johansen and either 2 1st's or there first and Jenner. So either Johansen+ their 1st and NYR or Johansen+their 1st+Jenner. Pick Drouin at the draft......Profit.

Rights are worthless usually a 7th rounder is traded for them... you guys get a elite player for a potential leaving Perry... Perfect replacement.. That 1st wont be good judging how well ANA is playing this season and Smith-Pelly wont get you guys 35+ Goals a season. ANA would be stupid not to take it as insurance to get another top line player who has one of the best shots in the NHL, crazy underrated passing skills, explosive speed and skating.

I don't want Kessel in Anaheim. Anaheim doesn't use the run n gun and unless Kessel wants to play on the second line he'd have to assimilate to a cycle game and a much more angle based gritty style that I don't think he'd be able to do that and still be a top liner

There's a reason Bonino and Winnik have been playing top line with Getz and Perry and not Selanne or one of our other offensive minded guys, we don't play fast hockey, we don't shy from a check and are always working corners and front of the net something that's one of Kessels weaker points

Dont worry, he backchecks alot lately and actually plays decent defense. He has matured alot... he is an complete player in terms of offensive and is pretty good in the defense side as well since Carlyle has came to Toronto. You guys would kill to get Kessel if you know Perry is leaving.

I dont want Kessel traded but if things "get sour" (misses the playoffs this year, if rumors come up Kessel doesnt want to resign in TOR) like I said moving him for a package like that is pretty reasonable.

Oh for sure value wise (if Perry planned in playing FA) it'd be a killer deal for Anaheim. But I think Kessel would be playing the same role Selanne plays now, Selannes our best offensive forward, he plays a lot like Kessel where Getz plays the polar opposite, even Bobby scares me on a line with Getz without Perry, Ryan tries to get too pretty even though he plays gritty
