Of course not jeez why would a blind side, low bridge, knee-to-knee hit that resulted in a player to be down for 2 minutes and need a stretcher be a suspendable hit?

I don't see how that is a blindside. Hall is in front the whole time while clutterbuck is looking down. Timed about .3 of a second late. If the hit is a tad earlier it would have been a hit through the body rather than through the knee.

It was late, however. And we have seen 5 minute majors for late hits before. And suspensions for late hits.

Both russo and Rishaug both stated that it was clear knee-to-knee first contact. Clutterbuck didn't even have the puck and it was a complete blind side. This is the type of hits we don't need in the NHL and Taylor Hall thinks he can throw them in a 3-1 game losing with 3 minutes left in the game. It's classless and he's a fucking scumbag.

I believe in order to be "blindside" the hit needs to be delivered from behind, or coming at an angle with back pressure. This angle is not severe enough or has any back pressure to constiture blindside in my opinion.

Late? Yes. But like I said, if the timing was say, .3 of a second different, it would have been delivered through the body, and not the knee. Still might have been constituted as late.

its not halls responsibility to make sure clutterbuck is looking at him before he hits him.
