No it's because you'll look like an idiot. I'm all for style and nice shoes, but wearing basketball sneakers with jeans or shorts is probably up there for no no's in terms of clothing.

Oh and also I'm not sure which portion of the world disagrees with me? The black community? That's part of their culture, its very different imo (unless youre black JT? i know dylan isnt) my friend COLLECTS basketball shoes to play in and I've never once seen him wear them out before to a party.
