Is it weird we could see 4 teams in the playoffs that are Canadian hasn't been that way in years sadly I don't see anyone going deep that isn't a miracle run. Yes even Vancouver

played like crap, didn't deserve to win, but great to get two points against a team and a backup goalie that's really struggling.

eh I don't know if it would be a miracle for Vancouver to go deep, I still see the Nucks as a top-3 team in the West.

how about that Northeast. The top four teams in the Eastern Conference are from the Northeast (not including Pitts, who's tied with Toronto and Ottawa)

Idk about Montreal falling off. They have a solid team structure. Therrien has them playing very Nashville-esque

They'll definitely fall from first place tho.

It's too late for them to fall out of the playoffs now though unless a team goes on a seriously huge run and they lose pretty much every game this year. I think 6 up are getting close to being basically locks by next week 2 weeks

Does that mean the leafs have a chance? :D

The Rangers and the Jets have quite a few games in hand, same with the Caps (who are playing a little better lately). As a Leafs fan I'm still keeping a close eye on the 9 and 10 seeds, and the Sens should be too. Lose 4 or 5 in a row and you could be outta there.

Yup unless you guys lose 7/10 games in regulation here on out I think anyone 6 and up safe with so many 3 point games now I think teams are getting into the safe area. Chicago can clinch a playoffs spot officially next week if they don't lose still lol

I think the Caps making it will be determined by how Carolina plays and nobody else in all honesty. Jets and Rangers are battling with the Flyers and Devils for those final 2 spots. Like I said I think it's a week or 2 more of strong play by th top 6 that will start to make them safer as we're almost half way through the season

Biggest reason why we have not made the playoffs for so long is because we would have one major slump every season.....If we avoid that down the stretch we should be good. I have been impressed this year though, whenever we have a bad loss we seem to be able to come out the next game with a good bounce back game, that is the key to the playoffs. I think that has a lot to do with coaching as well.

Sadly, that's a possibility, especially with the Leafs.. I hope to God we make the post-season, but I'm still not comfortable with our position.
