I hope to god Kessel does not get traded. He is our only real one shot goal scorer. He has become a PPG player the past 2 years. They said he doesnt have the leadership so he is not worth 7M which is BS. He doesnt need to be a leader, he needs to score goals. We have players like Lupul,McClemment, MacArthur, and I guess you could say Phaneuf... He is worth the 7M although I hope they can sign him for 6-6.5M.

This is why I have chosen to work for the Toronto Raptors rather than the Leafs.

It's unhealthy for me. The Raptors have some hope. Once Casey and Colangelo are fired this team can turn over a new leaf. Canadian Basketball is on the rise and its starting to pump out big talents. The raptors could attract those Canadian talents. It would be exciting.

How do the Raptors have more hope than the Leafs right now? I love both don't get me wrong but the Leafs are in decent shape for the future, especially compared to five years ago just before Burke took over.

There is organizational depth and strong leadership in place at the top (doesn't matter who runs it, whether it was Burke, now Nonis, or anyone else involved, it's a sturdy brain-trust with a number of the league's high-end executives).

Regardless of what happens this season, the Leafs are on the right track finally. They have assets and that's a breath of fresh air considering when Burke first took over his greatest asset was Tomas Kaberle.
