Yeah. Gardiner (and Rielly if you're right) is more important to this team than Carlyle so I hope they fire him rather than build a team for him.

I think Caryle taught this team work ethic and that's something they lacked bad for a couple years now. I know the caps look bad for it now but I think the things Hunter taught the Caps like Carlye is doing now will help in the future when they hire a more fitting coach. I think part of the caps struggles is changes without a full camp etc. and now were seeing the system start taking form. I think the Leafs would have an easy time if the coach has a full camp to learn it

If Reilly gets called up within the next 5 games, I think hes got an outside chance at catching Crosby for the Art Ross.

I actually like a lot of Leaf players too (<3 Gardiner). Cam just makes it so damn hard

Carlyle taught this team how to play on the PK. I remember their Lulz worthy PK last season where a minor penalty might as well have been a goal against

I like the Leafs, I watch every game but for some reason I'm viewed as an outsider because I don't have blinders on and don't view Gardiner and Reily as messiah's who are the answer to every problem the Leafs have :lol:

I never said it's not smart to bring up Gardiner, I said it needed to be done at the right time. Now it needs to be done, they were winning before, and you don't want to risk losing a player from a winning team when you're playing well. Now they're not playing so hot so yes Gardiner does need to come up ASAP. But they also need to look out for the teams best interest in the future, and that means they need to make a trade before they call up Gardiner. They need to move Komisarek, Liles or Kostka and get Gardiner up.

Oh ya Caryle has taught these guys some good things. And yes he has them in the playoffs (right now). So did Wilson at this point so kinda kills the point abit. The core for a long time that Burke built is around Kadri, Gardiner, Rielly, Kessel, Phanuef. Outta these 5 till this year I wouldn't have said Kadri was his style but he's adapted though I feel that has a lot to do with his new attitude tbh and Phanuef. So 2/5 of your core players fit Caryle style. It's easy to sit there and judge Caryle and blame it all on him but the fact is he was the wrong coach since day 1 you said it yourself he doesn't adapt and unless your going to change your core and set yourself back a few years then you need to find a coach that fits your teams style better. It's a lot easier to build around your core that fits a coach than it is to change a whole core to fit a coach or force a player to play a different style

Gill is still a good defender. Lebda was a cap dump never dress a game for Nashville as far as I know
