arent they only 3 seasons old? this deal makes no sense to me i get S14 will be great draft if all us reacreate stay active but even when they do draft us were atleast 2-3 seasons from making a serious impact especially with this new sim

The reality was that we were realistically 2-3 seasons away from making a serious impact anyway with the personnel we had, so I made some changes.

Now I am all but guaranteeing that we will be competitive with these moves, but it will be a while. Hopefully in 3-4 seasons Green and Sarah will decide it's time to return and with this new core I have build they will be GREAT supplemental players to the team.

Manhattan has 2 years to make this deal worth it. A cup is the ultimate goal... kind of a do or die, but they get 2 years to do it.

It will be a good one for sure, but Recreates aren't as sure of a bet as some like to believe, and even in the "super draft" having a pick in the 9-12 range doesn't guarantee you a player such as Willems or Sto Helith. And even if it does, it'll be at least another 2-3 seasons until that players makes a significant impact.

We also feel confident in our ability to draft the late rounds. We picked up players such as Keenan and Nike in the 2nd round and Harris in the third. If this draft is as super as it's billed to be, there should be some fine talent available to be had.

This is also a bold move prior to free agency to show potential free agents the direction the Rage are planning on going the next 2+ seasons, so if that helps us attract some of the higher end free agents over other teams this also adds to the value of this trade...

Bottomline is we expect to be one of the top contenders for the cup in the next few seasons, so for those of us who have been in Manhattan awhile and suffered through the 8 win seasons, I am estatic that this deal got done and I am looking forward to seeing us add some free agents to the team....because if you think we're done...we aren't.
