Listening to the Pens-Canes game earlier the Canes announcers said the stupidest thing I've ever heard in an NHL Broadcast. I'm about 90% sure I heard this right and Danielle said the same

"Crosby is the run away Hart winner as league MVP" which isn't overly dumb, it's a bold statement as I feel there are more critical pieces to their respective teams despite Crosby playing on another level

"If not Crosby, then Marc-Andre Fleury, if not Fleury then Kris Letang" the award is for player most valuable to his team, but then this guy goes on to say 3 players on the SAME TEAM are the most valuable to their team? That makes absolutely no sense.

Imo if Ovie continues to play like he has been he'll win Hart. Same way Perry won Hart making a late season push for his team into the playoffs

Caps are one of the dirtiest teams, clutch and grab. Fucking annoying. Refs arent calling anything, in Mtl tonight the fans are booing everytime the ref touches/picks up the puck.

Refs not calling anything is great. At least they're not being one sided. Why boo that? Play tough and fight fire with fire if the refs are letting them play

No one is more critical to their team than Crosby but everything else you said is true. But Canes announcers are fucking stupid so it is to be expected.

I'd say that Crosby is the best player on his team, but I think that they'd still be a playoff team without him. Even if it would be a hell of a lot closer, they wouldn't dominate anymore, as much, but their roster is ridiculously deep and talented which other teams don't have. For instance No Ovie on the Caps= Basement (Like when he was playing mediocre the beginning of the season) No Bobrovsky=Columbus plays like Columbus before this season. But yeah I definitely see your statement as valid. I just think the league likes a feel good story and a player leading his team to the playoff, where if you take said player out of the equation they don't. They'll win the Hart
