Leafs FAN Talk

That's part of my point, but if they need Carter to play centre he can play centre. They have tremendous depth at centre and that's why they've been so successful.

Depth at the position is good and Bozak would bring them good depth if he re-signs. But he's still not the long-term answer as a top-line centre.

We're not talking about for this season, we're talking about the future lmao get on the same page. Trade deadline's passed.
Oh really did it...? No shit we aren't talking about this season. We should not go grab an elite 1st line when we don't even know if we can make it to the playoffs in a full season (Good luck find one on the market anyways).

No one is ever happy with who is the 1st line centre unless they have some Elite player like Getzlaf and its dumb.

Not true. I'm happy with Bergy as our 1st line Center. But only because Krejci also breaks 60, and our third line C is good for 40 points too.

Although that depends if you consider Bergeron elite...67 points and Selke winner, that's good. Elite? VERY Debatable.

Also, you named the Avs 3rd line C and 2nd line C in comparison to Bozak

And Derek Roy was an awful 1st line C.

You tried to prove a point by comparing Bozak to 2nd and 3rd line centers.

Again, not saying he is the long term answer to the 1st line centre. All I said was he is better then Grabovski IMO.

I'm sorry, who plays for the 1st line on the Aves then? I thought it was one of them, my bad.

Also I wouldn't consider Bergy Elite but he is definitely one of the better centres.

Well, no, what you've been saying is Bozak didn't suck = he's a quality first-line centre.

He might be better than Grabovski, he might not be. In my opinion Grabovski has much higher offensive upside and can create a lot more on his own than Bozak. Unfortunately, Carlyle does not like Grabo, which is why he's been used in defensive situations this season (not where he should be, even though he can play defensive hockey).

Duchene is their top centre, and like I was saying earlier, you compared Bozak to a bunch of guys that either are, or should be second to third line centres. Which is what Bozak should also be.

Duchene is 1st line center.

Duchene is 1st line center.
Still, he got like 20ish points if I remember correctly.

Actually, I said Bozak over Grabovski. Then people started saying Bozak sucks and he should be on the 3rd line and Grabovski should stay at 2nd. Then I said Bozak has been fine on the 1st line and he should definitely not be a 3rd liner. Then it turned into it being funny that I think Bozak is fine on the 1st line.

... you didn't know Duchene was the Avs' number one centreman? Ouch bro, definitely puts your perspective down a notch for me.

I barely watch the Colorado play, definitely this year because they don't play the Leafs. I actually thought he was playing LW well Stastny was centre.

Which is why it makes my opinion skeptical of your views. If you're merely stat watching versus actually watching them play you can't recognize the difference.

Since we where specifically comparing offensive numbers I don't see the problem.

Using a compliance buyout on Grabovski would be the best option. Him and Randy don't see eye to eye. Than re-sign Bozak to 4Mil for a savings of 1.5mil.
