Yup and make plays unlike bozak who piggy backs on kessel and lupul. He can't make a play himself he's a decent center who on his own without a great linemate is a 2nd to 3rd liner

Grabovski is very creative offensively, but he turns the puck over a lot. Something that Carlyle hates which is why he played the same minutes as Orr the last game. You aren't giving Bozak enough credit here.

Also Bozak has a -2 takeaway giveaway rating this season. Grabo has a -6 so it's not that much of a difference. Bozaks give always are huge too second worst on the team to Phaneuf.

Bozak has 36 giveaways this season. Grabo has 24 and they've played comparable minutes

Can we all just agree that Grabovski doesn't deserve 5.5Mil. Brutal signing. 3.75 -4.25 seems ideal for Grabovski.

You have to look at where the are and the situations. Good example was yesterday. Grabovski was benched most the game. Finally gets some time in last in the 3rd. He turns over the puck in the defensive zone and if I remember correctly we got stuck in the zone for a solid 30 seconds. Next shift he turns over the puck near the red line in the offensive zone trying some no look pass and it turns into a 3-2 rush. All this with the score at 2-2.

Grabo is only worse than Bozak for the same reason Kostka is in the line up over Gardiner, Komisarek, O'Byrne etc etc. once Caryle gets on one players dick and gets bitter on another player he no matter how good they are play them in the wrong situation.

Last night he was on the fourth line he had to make things happen to impress his coach. He didn't really have a choice he had to carry it hits other options were Orr and I forget who played other filler, was it Mcclaren?

Grabo isn't even playing bad though. He just needs to take more shots rather than trying to be too fancy. He has a hell of a shot.

you're not gonna create on offence if you're scared of turning the puck over. Bozak doesn't turn the puck over but he doesn't create any offence either. He's the prototypical average NHL player.

yep, you get it. just cause someone's in Carlyle's doghouse doesn't mean he's a bad player

he was given market value at the time. there was a major shortage of centres (and still is) and had he hit free agency he would have made more, the Leafs were actually getting him at a discount at the time.
