Welcome to our newest edition of close up. Last episode we looked at the real estate of some our favorite SHL players. This week we will take a closer look at some of their hobbies.

We all know they love ice hockey but they love more than this. And we found some interesting things we would like to share with you all.

We will start with the most difficult to find out. We all know Benoit Charlebois and we wanted to find out more about this mysterious defense man from the Rage.

When we first tried to approach him we just ran away and jumped in a car and chased off. We immediately knew it would be difficult to find out more but we didn't give up. A neighbor informed us that Charlebois would sometimes disappear for a few days but they had no clue what he did during those missing days. So our mission was clear. We would follow Charlebois and find out his
secret.

The next day we saw him leaving and we followed him from a distance. He was heading to the airport. There he bought a ticket to France. Lucky there were still seats left and we hoped on the plane as well. After a long flight and an ever longer cab ride to where ever he was going we finally found out what he was hiding. Charlebois has a hobby we would never have expected.

He is the current champion in Jeu de boules. He started playing this when he was a kid. One summer he and his family went camping in France and there he got to know the sport. He knows most people think this is a sport for the elderly that is why he doesn't want people to find out. He told us he goes to France as much as possible to practice because this year competition is hard and he hopes he can keep his title.

He pointed to a guy playing a bit further away. "Last year he became second but he had a whole year to practice so I think he will win."

We decided to stay in the rage and check out another defensive player.

We had heard several rumors about how John Grossmann spends his free time but we wanted to know if it was true before we told it to you.

Grossmann is a huge King fan. You won't find pictures of just his family or girlfriends. The only pictures you will find are from the King.

But Elvis isn't the only king you can find in his house, he has also dedicated a room to the King of Pop.

But if the rooms haven't creped you out maybe this little fact will. On his day off he dresses up like the king. On some days he will be dresses as Elvis and on others like Michael and he regularly enters imitator contests. We'll let you be the judge if he is any good.

Our next player is also a member of the Rage, left winger Kyle Keenan.

Next to ice hockey Keenan loves sports, extreme sports. When he is not on the ice you can find him doing something dangerous. It all started as a challenge. A friend of his dared him and now that dare has gotten extreme. The normal extreme sports don't do it anymore for this young man. He and his friends now challenge each other in extreme ironing....

Keenan explains that it just makes it more fun, some people don't see this as a real sport but let them try ironing a shirt while jumping out of plane or hanging of a cliff. The ironing just adds a whole new dimension. Plus I love ironing, nothing beats a wrinkle free shirt.

"Last weekend I went Hang gliding with friend, I controlled the glider while he was ironing... We are going to turn the roles around next time. And after that maybe I'll try it by myself, that would be a real challenge."

The last player we will talk about in this issue has probably the weirdest hobby so we saved him for the end.

Last week we had an appointment with Christoph Klose. When we rang the bell we heard a voice screaming "the door is open" so we entered the house but we found nobody there.

My camera man pointed out that he might be a Mario fan because there was a giant plant sitting in the living room that looked a lot like the plants from the famous Mario games.

We called out to him wondering where he was when all of the sudden the plant said "Hello, make yourself comfortable" The reason why we couldn't find Klose was that he was the plant.

Klose loves to cosplay and spends his free days wearing his plant suit. He made it himself for a contest but he loved it so much he wears it whenever he can. He explained that there was something peaceful being a plant. It was really strange talking to a plant but we are glad we did so we could share Klose his hobby to you.
