Kessel back checks every game and skates back in the defensive zone and has made several great defensive plays this season. He is a complete player that has been a top 6 scorer the past 2 years. I've seen him backcheck this season quite a bit, even attempt to block shots and he's been playing the boards A LOT recently. It's gotta be quite a relief to Leafs fans to have him trying to progress

That's funny because he isn't at all.

Grabo and JVR seemed to be the only skaters playing with heart last night pretty awful effort by them hopefully it was just nerves of the first playoff game in 9 years

Carlyle needs to fuck off with his system. I watched the new Dangle vid this morning and he brings up a good point, you can't fight "fire with fire" the Leafs need to use their speed (water) to fight the bruins (fire) cause the Habs even beat the Bruins this year and they are all 4'5 but they used their speed to do it. But seriously speed is the key, you can still play the aggressive style but make speed the first. Also here is the lines we can see on Saturday (thank god)

JVR - Bozak - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Kulemin
McClement - Grabovski - Komarov
MacArthur - Colborne - Frattin

Argh. Grabovski was one of our better players last game. I don't see the point in demoting him. Watch, we are going to get bullied hard this game without any tough guy in the lineup.

That's one tough guy. The Bruins have a bunch of bruisers and grinders that you have to match up against. You can't fight fire with fire but you also can't fight fire with a water gun
