Letang to Toronto?
#91

The only reason I'm against trading Gardiner is bercause of how good he has shown he can play. The playoffs for example. He dominated every time he was on the ice, like crazy dominated. I know that's a short sample but still.

Would consider only if the 1st Round Pick is removed... I would be able to give away Gardiner but a huge no to Rielly. I seen him live and he controls the play everytime he is out there. I know how good he is.
So does Letang... Tongue

I'd consider that deal tbh. I think Gardiner could be a star in the league but Letang already is. Kuli is nothing special. 1st rounder could be a gem in this draft. Makes me nervous.

Definitely a lot of value, but Letang is a #1 defenseman. Gardiner and Reilly definitely both could become #1's as well, but its still a could at this point. Id assume Pitts would be more interested in Gardiner than Reilly too because theyre in win now mode. Kuly has a history with Malkin (plus hes expendable for you) and the 1st is a 1st, in a solid draft though.

Plus it gives you the opportunity to move Phaneuf for some help up front if you like.

Not really the same player right now. Gardiner and Reilly have the POTENTIAL to be great. Robbie Schremp had to be a star in the league. Where is he now?

It's a risk but it's a risk worth taking.

If I were the Leafs Id say the same thing, but I think the Pens would want Gardiner.

This makes no sense for Pittsburgh unless Kessel is coming back or something.

Why trade for D specs when you have the best D spect pool in the league.

Letang is MUCH more responsible defensively than Gardiner and still a lot better offensively... although Gardiner is amazing, he is not and will not be on the same level as Letang. As for Rielly... he is God and the Leafs must keep him forever.
