Well looks like I'm the only one excited for the Be A Pro Mode in 14. I'm not sure what you guys expected really. Did you really think they were going to add EVERYTHING you've ever wanted for that mode? They completely made it over from the garbage that it was the last 3 years, so I don't understand the underwhelming response. Of course it's not perfect, but for you not to be excited for this mode after what we've had before boggles my mind.

It's the fact that the last year NBA looks to be ATLEAST equal to the one NHL is putting on this year.

I'm excited for it don't get me wrong but they should have added cut scenes. It's not like it's a hard task. Still an improvement by a mile.

Why are you comparing it to 2K? Compare it to the other NHL games. EA is not 2K. 2K creates amazing modes for basketball, and as we've seen before, EA made be a pro very rudimentary so this is a glaringly positive upgrade.

We are comparing it to 2k's basketball MyCareer because that's how we want it to be. Has nothing to do with EA being 2k it's about making the mode the best as possible.

That's something I'm hoping they add in the future. Wasn't expecting it this year but that would be really fucking cool.

At least they actually have the interviews in the mode. We had nothing before and they brought us a revamped be a pro. I know it's typical of video game fans to never be happy and always focus on what they didn't add, but come on. No cut scenes, but at least they finally ask some questions.

Yeah, its hard to compare to 2k, cuz the My Player there is so fucking good, and its been there since 11. While NHL has had the same BaP since 09 and its getting annoying. Of course EA could have added more, but this is the first year of Live the Life, look at GMC, second year now and they are fixing things and adding more. They will do the same, and it will be better seeming as nhl 15 will be on next gen. Maybe in 15, they will add nice cutscenes. Better than 2ks? maybe.

That's obviously what the aim should be, but you couldn't of realistically expected them to go from the crap they had, straight to 2K levels of awesome. You guys set yourselves up way to high if that's what you thought would happen.

Not true but they also don't do everything half assed either. They're just like every other game designer out there for sports games (and other games aside from Naughty Dog)
Think about it guys... You wanna know the real reason we haven't seen an absolutely amazing NHL game? It's not because they're not capable of doing it, it's because if they make the best sports game ever... How are they going to improve it next year? What justification would there be to buy a new NHL game after making the exact game fans want? Minor graphic updates, a new soundtrack and a roster update? Truth of the matter is we'll never see a truly great NHL game so long as they keep doing annual versions of it, same reason COD sucks ass
