It all started with a dream, the dream to play with the best and to do it together. Two young children once dreamt to play in the shl, the best hockey league in the world.
Those two young children hoped that all the training, all the sacrifices, all the blood and the tears were not for nothing. They both are getting closer and closer to achieve their dream. One question remains: will the two best friends be able to fulfill their dream on the same team or will they walk a different path?
Kein monesti and saoul commeunebotte were both born in marseilles, France. At a very young age they were already showing a lot of potential and a lot of skills in hockey. Hockey is not the most popular sport in France but both of them showed a lot of promise and together they were unbeatable.
They always destroyed the competition and always had in mind the objective of playing in the shl. Now that they are old enough, they are coming to North America hoping to make a name of themselves.
However before getting into the shl, they must start their journey by getting drafted in the smjhl. Which lucky team will get their hands on a future superstar?
Kein monesti is a playmaking two-way forward. He is the guy you want in the third when trying to score or when trying to hold the lead. He is blessed with a superb hockey vision and elite passing skills. He is also an agile skater and can outskate any opponent. He is a very good puck handler and can pull some amazing dekes at top speed. He is also good in the faceoff circle.
Nhl comparable: Tomas Plekanec
The team that will draft saoul commeunebotte will get a goal scoring power forward that is responsible defensively. Saoul has a huge frame and protects the puck very well with his great strength. A got a shot that can beat any goalie and he has a knack a finding open spots. He also skates very well and can crash players into the boards.
Nhl comparable: Max Pacioretty
We will only know in a couple of weeks which team will get their hands on these tremendous players. Will they end up on the same team? This is the kind of story that only happens in movies. However there is one thing that is certain for next season: both players will prove the world that they can compete with the best players in the league.
