I think we actually match up best with Portugal. Outside of Ronaldo their Starting 11 isn't any better than ours is. But obviously Ronaldo is >> than anything we have.

Everyone has said we shouldnt have a problem with Ghana since 2006 now and I'm still waiting for us not to have a problem with Ghana.

Portugal's starting 11 is full of some pretty great players, I don't see how the US team matches up with them tbh.

Portugal's starting 11 is full of some pretty great players, I don't see how the US team matches up with them tbh.

I've always loved the German team and I'll be watching them closely, even though I'll be supporting Italy.

Never said it wasn't, but I think the US matches up just fine.

Howard is a Top EPL tendy and Dempsey, Altidore, Bradley, Donovan, Jones, Cherundolo, have all been successful in Top 4 leagues/European Comps.

We're significantly worse on defense but all in all, I don't think Portugal's lineup badly outmatches ours at all.

Portugal's line up has guys like;

Joao Moutinho
Miguel Veloso
Pepe
Bruno Alves
Fabio Coentrao
Nani
Raul Meireless

That are all better than nearly anyone the states have, Portugal has the talent to be a top team but often just don't have the head on their shoulders

Portugal struggles to play as a unit sometimes, however. I think Portugal will beat the US, but the US has a good chance.
