Yeah I mean that +49 goal differential is definitely not us playing good defense 4th in the west in goals allowed despite the fact that Hiller has been ass much of the season. Fowler has played phenomenal

could have been the difference in the Canada game.

Hindsight is 20/20. Yandle was playing like warm baby shit before the break and EJ has been all but invisible most of the season. Meanwhile Faulk has been playing pretty good hockey most of this season (I've watched a good amount of his games as I try to watch the Canes because of Gerbe) and Fowler has been absolutely lights out. Yandle earned a spot on this team and I would have taken him over Faulk any day of the year. But EJ has been pretty bad for the majority of the season. Fowler meanwhile has transitioned into a great 2way guy who's not a defensive liability anymore and has been playing great. Plain and simple Fowler has outplayed Erik Johnson in pretty much every facet of the game this entire season, whether you like him or not he has, and because he has a bad game or two, playing with new linemates on a team that all together sucked ass doesn't mean he sucks and I very highly doubt Keith Yandle or EJ would have changed the Canada game at all, the team itself was awful, not just Fowler and Brown.
