General NHL Playoffs Discussion

Kinda hard when you are not on Therrien's favorites list. Vanek has been juggled all over throughout this series without being given the chance to develop chemistry. Pacioretty has been the one that is driving to wide and throwing useless shots at Rask that a peewee could make. When you get it in the slot, rip it like Subban has. Pacioretty has been trying to do too much and is losing the puck all over the place. Pacioretty has turned into Casper the Friendly Ghost during these playoffs.

except that he hits and wins one on one battles.... casper would have a hard time doing that considering he'd go through them.

patches is getting chances heis just missing the net because hes overthinking it.

not sure you are watching the same games as everyone else.

You can't really call him invisible when you can pin point what he is doing wrong.

I couldn't even tell you what Vanek is doing wrong because I legit never even notice him.
Unless he scores a deflection goal on the PP

He is going to the front of the net. That is where you score goals. Not from impossible angles like Pacioretty. Do you even know hockey?

I guess the faceoff circle is impossible angles? And Vanek doesnt go to the front unless its on a PP and why have Pacioretty in front when he has a better shot than Vanek. Also last game Pacioretty made some drives to the net and even got a small breakaway that Rask saved which I haven't seen Vanek do and won't see him do.

I swear you only watch the highlights Snappy, because otherwise you would see Pac isn't Casper out there, Vanek is. My friend has never watched much of Vanek or Buffalo and we watched a few of the games this series. He constantly asks me how this guy got 40 goals and how he is on the 1st line of any team.

He's been that bad this series. But hey, he scored on the PP by standing there, so I guess he's good or something.

I have a different view of the games. Pacioretty has hit this series, but that is not what he needs to do. Habs are playing Boston's game. We need to beat them with hockey, not finding out who has the most goons.

Vanek was put on with Pacioretty and DD and did fuck all so they moved him to try to get him to get chemistry elsewhere and Pacioretty driving wide?! He is matched up again Chara what the fuck is he suppose to do dangle through Chara's legs and go bar down? He goes wide because Chara's stick makes him have to so he tries to use his speed and get a shot on Rask.

I think Patches has been held to the outside for the most part.
He's had some decent chances, but I think the Bruins have done a good job defending him and giving him those outside shots.

Vanek has just been invisible

The fact that multiple Bruins and Habs fans are agreeing on something should show how wrong Snappy is

Yes set powerplay goals, but he is not jumpong out of the way like the habs were doing in the regular season. Stand in front, make some sacrifices,  score goals. You dont score from behind the fucking net.

You jump out of the way so the puck has chance to get on net.....

Also plays do develop from behind the net

Lol, hitting is part of hockey. Unless you're 9 years old.

It is when you pass up a chance at a better shot. Did you watch the regular season when Vanek was on with Patches and Des? Vanek was at the rront every fucking play.

Not if you have beat the other team by drawing penalties before.

Jump was the wrong word, I meant stay beside the net instead of infront.

Well when its Pacioretty driving down the boards and only DD coming while Vanek glides in from behind its hard to make a play...
