Game 17: Regina Force vs Kelowna Knights

This game started off with a quick penalty to start the game as John Luther heads off for the Knights for roughing. Just 41 seconds into the period, James Marushin tosses a sweet pass to Svensson as he taps it into the open cage to open up the scoring for the Force. Not even two minutes into this hockey game, the Force increase their lead to two goals as Tyler Guest puts a laser behind Lundgren for his third goal of the season. We go to the 5 minute mark and the Knights finally put one on the board as Mark Dymo does an excellent job protecting the puck behind the net and he ends up beating the Force goalie to the post for his second of the season, lead cut in half. Now 13 minutes into the first frame, the Force answer back as Bronsen Zerchai squeaks a shot through Lundgren to restore the two goal lead for the Force. With the period about to expire in this goal filled first frame, the Knights have an answer as Daniel Acker put one top shelf for his second of the season, Knights down by one goal heading into the second period.

5 minutes into the second frame, the Force regain that 2 goal lead as Bronsen Zerchai throws a weak shot at the net which fools Lundgren. Zerchai has his second of the game and sixth of the season. This would be the end of Lundgren's night as Aboud Chamas comes in for relief. Chamas night doesn't start too well as the first shot he faces is a laser from LaCouture as the Force take a three goal lead now. Just two minutes after that, Mo Lester skates into the zone and wires one on net that goes right through Chamas, now 6-2 Force. Granger would add another one near the end of the period to give the Force a 7-2 lead heading into the final frame.

10 minutes into this period, the Force had all the momentum until Damien Gionatti blocked the shot from LaCouture and he skates all the way down the ice and beats the Force goalie five hole to give the Knights some life, however, the Force were just too much to handle for the Knights as they lose this one by a final score of 7-3.

The Whalers killed the Falcons in shots in the first leading 14-5

The second period kills the Whalers as penalties take the best of them putting them down a man for most of the period. 8 minutes into the period, the Falcons tie the game up with a goal from Finn Pippola, next the Falcons go back on the powerplay, and they convert as Vitols puts one behind Schmidt and the Falcons take a two to nothing lead. Just after the goal, Whalers take another penalty and they pay for this one again as Vitols shoots one through a screen behind Schmidt to give the Falcons a two goal lead heading to the third.

Just one minute later the Impact respond as George Constanza pots one behind Weekes and this game is tied. After Jamal Starr went off for tripping, the Crows convert on the powerplay as Alens Paurs gets his first goal of the season and the Crows regain the lead, but just three minutes after that Constanza crosses center ice and shoots the puck on net, and it beats Weekes and the game is tied again. With the rest of the period going back and forth the Crows crack Ranjan again as Zallerras Szlerchek shoots a laser right under Ranjans glove, and the Crows go into the second period up by one goal.
