They deserve it more because they out played the USA in all facets but the USA won.

They outplayed us, but we had the same amount of SOG and legit quality chances

Personally I find Ghana should've wrecked the US and Portugal played better than the US too, especially missing their 2 best defenders. if Ronaldo was on his game, it would have been 3-0 by the time the Bradley missed the open net, which is really when the US started playing. Ronaldo just picked a hell of a time to have a bad game

It's not like hockey though, the midfield has a huge aspect on how well a team plays and the US really have next to 0 midfield play,they play D and they score on a quick chance or 2. It's a risky and ugly way to play, but it's working for them right now, so why not, worked for Greece in 04 too, but it's not a well deserved way to win.

US were taking shots before they reached the Portuguese defensive line, they rarely got threw until the Bradley play. Essentially, Portugal played a great first 15 minutes. US outplayed them the rest of the way imo. Portugal looked like shit. Blame injuries or what, but that doesn't mean the US did not outplay them.

I guess we just have different views on the game.

Portugal...USA...doesn't matter if USA goes on they would get knocked out in the Round of 16. One thing about the USA that abdeezy is right about though, the USA have no midfield play and Germany will destroy them for it on Thursday. Keep in mind the biggest asset Germany has is solid midfielders.
