Myers and the Chiefs were one game away from the Challenge cup last season yet now just a year later many expect them to once again to be one of the worst teams in the west?. The Chiefs know that they can be a dominate team and one year removed from there cup run they come back stronger than ever.


Last season Chiefs showing the pain of coming so close.

This season has been fairly quiet for the Chiefs as it stands now only 2 new players have been added to the roster and many key pieces locked up for the future. Winter and Parmesan will both start the year on the 3rd line/pairing respectively but with both eager and working hard the expectation they will both earn more ice time as the season winds on. The Chiefs are being pegged as one hit wonders and like last year all it does it motivate this tight nit group to win and prove the haters wrong. "Ive always been an underdog from my days in junior to my 2 seasons now in Minny its fun proving the odds wrong" Myers said during an interview.


The Chiefs will be looking to be among the top of the league this season.

One key to the Chiefs success will be second year defender Zach Myers who had an off regular season but came up big many times for the Chiefs in the Playoff run. If he can continue the success he had in the playoffs Myers should be a top candidate for a break out season. "I have the skill set to be a top defender and i showed it in the playoffs if i can repeat the success of the playoffs the Chiefs and me will make a serious contender we have the offense we showed it and the keeper is world class" Myers said about himself and the Chiefs.


Myers working hard with coaches to improve

Myers is also lacing up for another under rated team this year in the IHF tournament. The team is expected to be one of the weak teams in the tournament with most of the big names in Sweden, USA, and Canada who are the favorites to win it all again. :We have a great team here there were a lot of great players left off rosters i think we can do some serious damage our forward core is one of the best in the tourney and our defense is made up of 3 guys who are the future of Canada blue line Me, Lebacon, Fencepost are all great defenders. Not to mention we have astro, Turcotte they are solid players in there own right". " You cant write off our goalies either Jesster is one of the best in the league and Sawyer showed he could play with the big boys this season with our team we dont really have a weak point i think if we find chemistry we can win a medal for sure" Myers said about team world.
