These threads are pointless at the end of the day most people don't give a fuck about why one console is better than the other they'll buy the console that they have more friends on.
Actually whats weird is so far ive been able to play my online PS4 games still despite my PS+ account disabled two or so days ago. Im going to see how long that lasts but if i dont gotta pay then ya no problem. Am PS4 online is much better than PS3 they added the feature ability like 360 to chat with friends well gaming on other games etc if u wanted too.
And to add to the topic it all depends on exclusive neither is that much better than the other. At the end of the day it all depends on A what ur friends play the most. An B which exclusives u prefer. Im a huge sony fan boy an the PS3 killed the xbox 360 imo games wise, an well the xbox always tech wise is behind sony its not like they are ever light years that it makes it a big choice changer. Espcially early on given developers dont know how to use the tech right now. In the end like 360 vs PS3 the PS4 by the end will wreck the xbox graphics wise right now there the same. An will be for a few years easy.
For fuck's sake I don't know why I even post about gaming systems. I am an Xbox user, so no shit I have an Xbox bias. And the PS4 people have Sony biases, yet I don't see you guys calling out the Sony fan boys for bias. I was not slighting the PS4 by calling is a "beefier PS3", and since you guys are all circle jerking about how great the PS3 is, you shouldn't have seen it as such. I said in my post that OP would be happy with ANY system he buys because they are both good systems....but it just seem like online any post that is short of calling Xbox an expensive paperweight gets downvoted/trashed to oblivion. The differences in specs this generation are MINUSCULE. The ONLY reason PS3 pulled ahead at the end is because Microsoft picked the wrong horse in the Bluray/HD-DVD race. This generation both are running Bluray so that not going to happen. There is no difference in specs between the system that is going to cause much of a difference, and if you think there is you are more biased than I could ever be.

There is literally no reason to believe that. PS3 had Bluray, Xbox was running DVD. That is why there was a difference (although the difference wasn't as great as you guys seem to claim). Both systems are running Bluray now and both systems will be comparable for the life of the system.
The assertion that the PS4 will "wreck" Xbox One graphics-wise is absurd

The optical drive is going to make no difference it's the gpu that's going to make the difference in graphics. Not to mention ddr5 is better and handling high graphical strain than ddr3
Thank you to My boys @Merica and @Ragnar for the lovely sigs!

They are not miniscule lmao and I have both systems and play my Xbox more than my ps4 but the ps4 is heavily heavily better spec wise. It's really not a comparison

I'd have to agree I've been a Microsoft fan boy since the original Xbox but ps4 is the superior system graphics wise. Also gddr5 ram will run the system more smooth than the xbones ddr3 ram.
The reason the PS3 was seen as a better system at the end of its lifespan, was because it had more critically acclaimed exclusives. Not because it had blu ray lol.
I have an xbox one because it's easier to chat and play with my friends with it. A reliable party system and a great controller. Most of my friends have a ps4, too. But we all end up on the xbox one.
I have a PC for single player games and graphics. When I care about how great a game looks, I'm not going to limit myself to console graphics.
ps4 just doesn't have enough fun games (opinion alert!!! for me to justify getting one.

Yet. It will eventually but not now.
And I absolutely despise the Xbox One Party system. It's not intuitive at all and if you miss an invite it's a pain in the ass to get the invite. Because the friends app takes a full 60 seconds to open.
