Registered S7, S22 Challenge Cup Champion Name: Prince Zuko Position: G Birth date: February 1, 1990 Birth place: United Kingdom Handedness: Left National team: United Kingdom Current team: :impact: Montreal Impact (on assignment from West Kendall Platoon) Athleticism stats SK = Skating: 50 EN = Endurance: 50 DU = Durability: 50 SZ = Size: 50 AG = Agility: 50 As a whole, Zuko is very unathletic. He has poor skating ability and no speed when in net. He's small and leaves many holes open. He also is very injury prone and can rarely finish a game due to nagging injuries and a lack of endurance. For now, he will be sent down to Montreal while Fernando Garcia and Sven Andersson hold down the fort in West Kendall, so he will have a chance to work on this. However, I really don't know if he will ever be able to overcome these issues. If he does, I'll be surprised. Goalie Skill Stats RB = Rebound Control: 99 SC = Style Control: 50 HS = Hand Speed: 90 RT = Reaction Time: 83 Compared to his athletic abilities, Zuko is actually a very good when in net. He very rarely gives up a rebound in net, which has helped his team win on numerous occasions. He has good hand speed, being able to snatch pucks out of the air like a frog snatches flies out of the air with its tongue. On top of that, he generally reacts quick enough to make a play on the puck. So, then why do I think he needs work in this area? Well, simply put, he could use some work on his reaction time because if he wants to have success in the SHL, he needs to respond even quicker than he does now. On top of this, he is very poor at his style control and often switches playing styles mid-game. He has no identity all. Zuko needs to figure out whether he prefers to play the butterfly or stand-up game, not both. If he doesn't, then he may never wind up starting for an SHL team. Future After being selected by the West Kendall Platoon in the S7 SHL Entry Draft, he was quickly assigned to the Montreal Impact of the NWJHL. While he is like many other young goalies in that he will begin his career with another season in juniors, his path to the big leagues is blocked by Fernando Garcia and Sven Andersson. While Garcia is in the twilight of his career, Andersson is just starting and after signing a huge long-term deal, he appears to be the chosen replacement for Garcia. I really don't see a fit for Zuko in this organization and he will likely wind up unemployed after this season or wind up in a completely different organization. 388 words, 2 pictures |
