Sig 1: 1.5/5 - $375K
Despite golden_apricot's praise, I've graded this as a 1.5. The masking around Ocho is a little loose, particularly around his arms. The inside shadow on the text is appreciated, but the drop shadow's inclusion kind of undoes the illusion. The blurred city image with the custom colored overlay does work, though, the lighting and blur could have been better suited to match the "render". The collection of minimal effects is appreciated, although their coordination needs some work.
potential improvements:
- Follow the rule of thirds when placing your elements. break your frame into a 3x3 grid and have the pieces fall on or near those points/lines. it doesnt need to be perfectly placed, but its a place to start and then move from.
- Everything should look intentional. whether its placement or content, you're visual products will be more pleasing to the viewer if things look less random.
