Lundqvist looks for equipment
#1

Henrik Lundqvist Jr was seen equipment shopping and fans of both Colorado and Texas seemed happy with his work and progress in the offseason. In spite of crazy real life demands and pressure from family he has kept up the pace and really is pushing for that juniors cap. Maybe now he gets a bigger role and has a breakout season. That is what he is hoping for and that would be the best case scenario. He says it would make him so happy to make everyone proud of him and to reach his full potential.

He bought the juniors equipment last year but now is buying the pro equipment which may take his game up to a new level. It'll help him in all areas and that is what he hopes for. He wants to be as well rounded as possible and to be a strong player everywhere that his team wants him to be. He wants to be special and powerful and to show he was worth that insane surprising sixth pick which he is so flattered to have gone at. He is even willing to go the painful steps to get more equipment and willing to wait this super long offseason although he isn't sure if the league is dead. It has been fun and kind of a cool roleplay experience so he hopes it isn't especially when his player has been bad the whole career and he hasn't got a pay off for all the work. But he will assume it is not dead and continue the work since he would not want to get behind if it is not dead. Building up a bank is so hard but that's what the top players need and he needs like 9 million for his equipment he heard it's pricey. He couldn't buy it all on the spot though he will probably get some skates.

Skates give the power and the drive as you zip up the ice. It helps you drive the net and chase down pucks. It's a good start and then look at a new stick first. Even though he isn't too concerned about his shot he wants to be better at passing and really control the puck super well. He also has practiced stick handling a lot so doing that will be easier with a better stick so that's a good purchase. While he could take the cheap stuff he wants to get the best stuff possible and will save up for quality because it is worth the wait and there is no rush especially with a huge delay. Apparently they call it a lock out that's weird that that can happen in a virtual league but I guess it is realistic and a lot like the NHL. hopefully it is resolved soon a new bargaining agreement or sim engine or whatever. It is starting to get too long and the patience is wearing thin a lot. There is no need for drama like this so I hope everyone resolves all the issues and differences so the league can move forward. Nobody wants to lose their friends and the experience over something stupid and people trying to cheat the system. Just stop the ridiculous stuff and get back on the ice.

Lundqvist Jr. wants to get back on the ice and achieve his dreams. He wanted to be a pro since he was a little boy and now he is so close to being what he always wanted to be. He has made progress and feels better than ever. His skills are among the best of the best in the juniors now he just needs a chance and a season to show that. He is practically ready to fall on his needs and beg Colorado to play him more because he knows he has what it takes and that he can be better this year. He is sorry for not doing good last year but he knows this year will be different. He is not a quitter he won't give up and with his new gear he will be strong. Watch out this equipment and this training and this extra long offseason that is too long will put Lundqvist Jr. over the top. He'll return in top form ready to take names and show his stuff. He will be what Colorado needed coming so close falling just short in the finals which felt awful but this year he will give the boost and be better it's the little stuff that is what makes the difference!

It's all about making a difference hustling getting to the right spots in the ice. You can't teach work ethic and that's where Lundqvist Jr. is one of the best in the business. That's why soon he will be a house hold name and a fan favorite here in Colorado and in Texas even one day. He will make it to the pros he doesn't intend to stay in juniors and the minors for his whole career he can make it in any league. He will just put his mind to the test and do what it takes to be the best. He does not back down from a challenge and I think that's what Texas saw in him. Their coaching staff knew he was one of a kind and had a good mind and mentality. They knew he had the talent and just had to train it. Just knew he would take awhile and he needed one more season to have better numbers. They ignored his awful numbers because his potential is off the charts crazy and he can be a super star for them. They even were kind enough to give him a little extra cash to help him get equipment which was very generous and nice and made him feel happy. Like it just shows that they care and were a good fit and he doesn't want to let them down no matter what. Lundqvist Jr. cannot wait for the season to start so he can have his new fresh start.

I'm just gonna take a quick guess that this was supposed to count as SMJHL media, and not as a SMJHL Player Progression thread, and as such I saved whomever's job that is a quick second and moved it here. If that was disallowed or against a rule, please feel free to TD me at this time.

Besides that, excellent write up with good insight to your player's mindset!
