Early on in the match, Daniel Bischoff has picked it up at center ice, and cycles it back to his Swiss compatriot FR Finn-Rhys, who takes it blueline to blueline with a head of steam. Finn-Rhys gets a pocket of space and has a shot at goal...

The shot has glanced wide of the net, but its ended up with Ricky Bobby, who quickly takes it out front to try and surprise Brownlee...

Goal Goal Goal Goal Goal Goal Goal

ITS A GOAL AND AN EARLY LEAD FOR TEAM ALPINE!

Bobby with some quick stick work on the powerplay manages to catch Brownlee sprawling back into position after Finn-Rhys' miss, and tucks it in behind to break the ice early on!

Code:
1. Team Alpine , Ricky Bobby 1 (FR Finn-Rhys 1, Daniel Bischoff 1) at 2:07 (PP)

"If you're not first you're last", as Bobby likes to say, and he made sure to be the first one this time.

Almost halfway through the first period now after a cagey period of play where Bobby's goal is about most of the action either goalmouth has seen. Cal Clucker is heading to the box angrily now for the States after holding an Alpine player's stick, and its a golden opportunity for the coalition to extend their lead in this early frame of the match.

Nothing doing in the first half of this powerplay for the Alpine, but after a scuffed clearance by Coitus-Wagg, Archer has a chance to fire one on net...

Brownlee kicks it aside, but the puck remains in play! It's picked up now by Finn-Rhys, who throws it towards goal...
