Suggestion box winners: @Julio Tokolosh and @gordieboom (if you ever come back, miss you gordie!) may claim an additional 1 uncapped for their suggestions. The image above is some random shit I found on google images.

Describe an SHL Board Game - either a brand new game designed around the SHL (hard) or an SHL version of an already-existing board game (easy). Here's a few examples from Julio:

Code:
Monopoly: SHL Edition. Boardwalk = Buffalo Stampede. Go to jail = Regression (give up 10% of your funds). Connecticut Ave = Colorado Raptors. Free Parking = Free Agency.

Settlers of Catan: SHL Edition. bricks = checking, iron = scoring, wheat = skating. The thief is the regression monster. The map is much more limited though, in x x x  way.

UNO: SHL Edition. each card is a "loss" and the goal is to be the first one to a perfect season (no cards). Skip = star suspension. draw 2 = tampering. reverse = regression. wild = winning streak. wild draw four = play the pride in the first round.
Written task: Write about the game and how you've SHL-ified it, similar to the examples above. Be creative! (min. 150 words)
Graphic task: Show us either the box or the game board of your SHL board game, including whatever team logos and/or player renders are relevant.

THIS PT IS FOR SHL PLAYERS AND SEND DOWNS. IT IS NOT FOR SMJHL ROOKIES.

You will receive 3 capped TPE for fulfilling all requirements.

This PT will close Sunday, December 15th at 10pm.

Welfare claims from either PBE or NSFL are accepted! (if you’re claiming welfare and have a different username on the affiliate's site then you need to state that in your post to get credit.)

If you have any questions/concerns, please PM me. Tasks with malicious intent will not be graded.

I'm sure you have heard of Monopoly. And Monopoly Canada. And perhaps even Monopoly Milllennials. But have you heard of Monopoly SHL? Everyone starts with a player akin to a monopoly piece and along with your player you get a player card that lists out attributes like scoring, defense, passing, and checking. As you go around the board you can purchase equipment tiles instead of property or training (centres) where the railroad would normally be. If other players land on these tiles they owe you money which is very important, just like in regular monopoly. Money in this version can be exchanged within the bank to purchase TPE, which then in turn is used to upgrade each players attributes. After a certain amount of turns, or once each property has been purchased, player cards are imported into FHM and simulations are held to see which player scores the most goals/has the most points. The player with the greatest amount of points is then declared the victor of Monopoly SHL.

Welcome to Monopoly: Cameron Carter II Edition!

The sole purpose of the game is to own each SHL Team, Award and Property. Unfortunately, only one player can ever actually win the game. As you can obviously tell, whoever is in control of the Cameron Carter II player figurine is the only person capable of winning the game. All of the other people are literal sheep in the game and their only objective is to stall the game out as long as possible by preventing him from acquiring a monopoly of all of the game's properties. You can definitely tell the difference between CC2 and the sheep because we at SHLKush.com (use promo code WANG20 to save 20% on ALL pre-orders, along with any other goods you need) have teamed up with Hasbro to create the most life-like figurine of Cameron Carter II as humanly possible. CC2 is not only noticeably larger than the other playing pieces, but he is also the most detailed character ever brought into a board game. We believed that by creating a board game featuring CC2 as the main character, that he would finally be able to win something in the SHL. The entire league has held him down for so long that we can hopefully disprove all of the propaganda that the SHL has cast upon all of its fans and players, as portrayed by the other playing pieces being brainwashed sheep. This game is rated for ALL ages, so feel free to play this with all of your friends and family without fear because we must fight the Anti-CC2 propaganda and enlighten all of the baby GOATs of the future. Stay Woke.

WARNING! - Monopoly: Cameron Carter II Edition may cause nausea, depression or suicidal thoughts as not all users may be capable of embracing CC2's greatness.

I didnt think of a boardgame but a card game based on the SHL. It's kind of a knock off of Magic the Gathering and Hearthstone. All the players in the SHL are player cards with their own attack and defensive skills. Some players even have special abilities. The strength of each player card is based on their TPE level. Players above a certain TPE level are considered legendary and have extra special abilities. Each player card cost a certain amount of energy to be played. Player cards can be called up by tapping energy cards. After a player card is on the table it can attack another player. If the opponent is unable to defend or block the attack the player will score a goal. A player can be defended by another player or a goaltender. After a set amount of the time, the player with the most goals wins the game. Special cards such as fan cards can give the player extra boosts to score or defend.

Here is the simplified Bloos version of SHL Sorry!
The goal is to advance all four of your players to your color’s home base from your color’s starting point, with wins moving you up and losses moving you back. Blue is the Edmonton Blizzard, Green is the Buffalo Stampede, Red is the Calgary Dragons, and Yellow is the San Francisco Pride. You draw a card, numbered from 1-12, and you must start with a 1 or a 2. The numbers mean the following:
1 - your team wins one game
2 - your team wins 2 games
3 - your team wins 3 in a row
4 - your team loses 4 in a row
10 - your team wins 10 in a row OR your team’s main rival loses a game
7: your team wins 7 in a row OR two of your players had fantastic games and scored 7 goals combined in 1 game, split the goals up and move the players as you wish
11: your team wins 11 in a row OR you switch places with one opponent
SORRY: take one player from your home base and place it on any space in a rival’s territory, bumping that rival back to the start
and so on.

SHL Trivial Pursuit.

6 Categories:
- Hall of Fame (green)
- Thunderdome (red)
- Challenge Cup (gold)
- SMJHL (pink)
- Fuck HO (blue)
- Media (purple)

6 Game Pieces:
- goaltender
- skater
- hockey net
- goal light
- hockey stick
- thumbs up

Much like the regular game of Trivial Pursuit each player must roll a dice, move around the board, and correctly answer a question from all 6 categories. When you successfully answer a question from one of the categories you get a puck of that color. Collect all 6 pucks and then return to the center of the board to win the game! If you successfully answer the question and already have a puck of that color you don't collect another one, but can continue your turn. If you answer a question incorrectly your turn ends and the next person begins their turn.

Special 50th anniversary addition! - Congratulations Calgary on your Challenge Cup victory. Everything is now just a little more red.

Thanks for the sig ragnar!

Alright, this game is called Rookie of The Year. In the game you play out a single season of hockey in the SHL as, you guessed it, a rookie. You compete with other players who are also rookies, trying to have the best season out of all the competing players. Essentially, each round of the game is X number of games (depending on how many rounds you want to play, up to 50 if you want, meaning each round would be 1 game). Each round a player draws a card from a deck representing their respective position, those being forward, defense, and goalie, and the result of that card will determine the performance of that player over the course of the round. At the end of the game, each player adds up their points, weighted by position, and the player with the highest wins. Forwards get 1 point per actual point, defense gets 1.25 points per point, since defensemen generally get less overall points than forwards, and goalies get 3 points for a win, 1 point for an OTL.

SHL Race to the Cup!

This is a made up, four player game. There are four player pieces, they are:
1. Forward
2. Defense
3. Goalie
4. Referee

The goal of the positional players is to beat the other players to the middle of the game board and win the championship (cup) for their team. The fourth player (Referee) is tasked with preventing the positional players from advancing by applying penalties or working with the, “game,” against the players when the players draw cards.

The game starts with all players rolling a single die (dice) to determine who plays first. The Referee will always play last, but this is to that players advantage. The game board is shaped like a hockey rink, with one player starting at both ends of the ice and the third player starting from center ice, however the distance that they have to travel from both ends of the ice/around the ice is the same.

Every turn, each player rolls the dice to advance further up the ice. Depending on what spot they stop on, they will have to draw a card. Cards can have a number of different options from goals, assists, awards and penalties. If they draw a goal card, they can advance two spots, if they draw an assist, they can advance one spot. Personal awards depend on the position played and you have to draw an award card for your specific position in order to advance. Referee’s have their own cards which allow them to apply penalties to either specific positional players, or a player of their choosing.

The first to make it to the finish line wins the cup.

Akashi SixNine was enlisted by the makers of the hit game Monopoly to "make it more SHL friendly" and the young defenseman had a few changes he wanted to make. All of the "properties" on the board were now SHL/SMJHL teams. If a player were to land on any of those spots, they would be the owner of the team, the owner of a team can set the respective contracts that individuals on the team MUST PAY TO THE OWNER to be on the team, so that if someone lands on a spot or team that you own, they owe you X amount of money (obv. to a cap). If you own multiple spots of the same team, the contract payment increases and can in the most extreme case be 3x the contract price. A loophole to this is that at the beginning of the game, each player picks a team they play for - such that if you land on that spot you are exempt from paying your contract fees.
