SMJHL S51 Game 77 - ANC @ ANA

SMJHL Game 77 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: John Forfeit @Shmurph
Team: Anaheim Outlaws
Victim: Wishy Woo Woo @Frostbite
Team: Anchorage Armada
Time: 11:29 of 1st period
Total possession time:  11:29
Hot po-take-to:
When the coaches saw John Forfeit before their game against the Armada they had plenty of reasons to worry. First, the trainers had to almost completely dress Forfeit in his gear themselves because John was too busy with the Potato pre-game. John was seen trying to dispose or hide the Potato around the locker room to try to break his curse. He would put the Potato in the sauna, in another stall, in a trash can, etc…. but every time he went back to his own locker the Potato would be there waiting for him like it had never left. Spooky! When Forfeit had finally stopped sobbing after realizing he could only get rid of the Potato on the ice, the coaches called him in to drill the game plan into his head: hit someone and get rid of the damned Potato, it is killing your game. Forfeit seemed to be a tiny bit more with it this game, he actually managed to register a shot on goal six minutes into the first period! Emboldened by actually showing up on the score sheet, John was insistent on ditching the Potato as fast as he could. A mere five minutes later, John saw his victim: Anchorage’s newest rookie Wishy Woo Woo. Woo Woo was an easy mark, Forfeit waited until his teammate Kevin Robinson hit Woo Woo, dazing the young Armada player, before Forfeit pounced for the kill. Forfeit rocketed himself into Woo Woo’s chest and broke his Potato curse. Now Potato-less, the Outlaws would end up winning in a shootout and the coaches would try to implement a no Hot Potato policy for the remainder of the season. We will have to see how that works out…

SMJHL Game 77 Advanced Taterlytics Report:
Posessor: Wishy Woo Woo @Frostbite
Team: Anchorage Armada
Victim: N/A
Team: Anaheim Outlaws
Time: N/A
Total possession time:  53:31
Hot po-take-to:
Wishy Woo Woo was seen muttering to himself as he skated back to the bench. “What the hell is a Hot Potato? Why the hell do I have it?” The Armada tried to explain the mythical Potato to the young forward, but Woo Woo still seemed a bit bewildered despite the explanations. Woo Woo’s first shift with the Potato saw him rifle a shot WELL wide of the net, and all the Anchorage players looked at each other like they were in trouble. Woo Woo’s teammates hoped that he would hit an Outlaw and transfer the curse back to them, but their hopes went unanswered for the rest of the game. Woo Woo would be vexed the remainder of the game, doing nothing of note except losing a faceoff early in the third period. Woo Woo was definitely Spud Shocked in his first experience with the Hot Potato, and Anchorage has to hope that he gets more comfortable with the Potato in the future. Woo Woo was seen carrying a book of Potato gardening tips that the staff gave him, Anchorage had smartly been collecting Potato resources since its inception. Hopefully the young Wishy will see more Potato success in the future.
