Hello everyone! We're live from beautiful Anchorage, Alaska, home of S51's SMJHL Champions! The city is still in recovery mode after the great Anchorage riots that rocked the downtown of the city following the Armada's Game 7 victory over a tough Kelowna Knights team. Congrats to Anchorage for winning it all! Good luck to those affected by the riots, we'll be thinking of you and the city employees that have to clean up the mess!

Also, congrats to Hamilton for their championship season! Nice to see that your fans didn't riot like those Alaskans did, although it's not like people could tell if there had been riots in Hamilton, that city is uh questionable at best.

Carolina was absolutely dominant this season, never once looking like the Laurifer trophy was in danger for them, and they picked up a rental piece in Kenny Creller at the trade deadline, which helped them end the season in incredible form, going 9-2-1 in the 12 games Creller was there. @FuzzSHL and @cpetrella congrats on the nom!

@Flareon and @Citizen of Adraa were responsible for one of the biggest turnarounds in the league, taking the rebuilding Raiders from 10th to 3rd, behind a brick wall defence corps that includes studs like Haley Knight, and Adam Barron, as well as stud forward Karl Krashwagen.

@Acsolap @artermis Anchorage performed very well this season despite losing key stars Stavros Halkias, Spencer MacLean, Samuel Michaud and Darnell Johnson, as they managed to top last season's point total by a point, coming 2nd in the league once again and being the only team to put pressure on Carolina throughout the season, except for a late collapse that saw them fall short.

In third place,

@Acsolap @artermis of Anchorage!

Unfortunately, you guys couldn't win Best GMs, hopefully the Four Star Cup you guys got instead is satisfactory!

In second, these GMs oversaw a historic turnaround, going from last to third. Although the playoff success didn't follow over from the regular season, Halifax still had a great season! Congrats @Flareon and @Citizen of Adraa !

With that announcement, I'd like to welcome @FuzzSHL and @cpetrella to the stage to accept this year's Mathias Chouinard Award for Best GMs. For those unaware, Carolina put up the best regular seaosn in over 6+ seasons, putting together the first 70 point regular season since Detroit did it in S45. Unfortunately, like that dominant Detroit team, and like the Lightning of last year, Carolina couldn't win their first playoff matchup. However, this season deserves loads of recognition, so come on down and accept the award!
