I'm not really sure if "muddy water" is a style but I can't say I'm a fan. There's just not really any contrast anywhere which is never a good sign. I think the second one is the best because we at least get some color contrast between the names without 'Ambacas' just being way brighter than everything else. The individual elements themselves, the render, background, text - should all work together. There's even a nice jersey swap under there somewhere too. But unfortunately you went all in on a direction that just didn't pay off.
