It has been a wild few days since I filed free agency paperwork with the SMJHL. It didn’t take long for a few times to call me up and give their pitches. Every general manager I spoke to gave me an incredible description of their city, locker room, and fans. Having these discussions only made me more anxious to join the SMJHL. I am also extremely flattered by the lengths of which teams went to, to convince me to sign with them. It's always nice to feel such great value as a player and know that your hard work is paying off. Others are noticing and it motivates me to work harder.

I’ve been offered everything from an incredible sum of money, the opportunity to work with outstanding SHL veterans, and of course, the chance to win a Cup. It was really tough to make a decision. I’m feeling a little guilty to the teams that I talked with but will not sign with. I’m also extremely excited to get this decision out of the way and get onto the SMJHL ice. To hold off any longer would put me behind my peers and in debt in advance of the Season 53 SHL draft.

And speaking of the SHL draft, my decision to sign with this SMJHL team was 100% with the next level in mind.

I’m proud to call Halifax my home for a couple of seasons and I’m proud to be a Raider.

Halifax didn’t offer me the most money and they’re currently at the bottom of the SMJHL standings. But what Halifax does offer me is the opportunity to be on the ice a lot. The Raiders admit to needing a lot of help along the blue line and for a player like me, that equals a ton of opportunity. And with this opportunity, I’ll be able to showcase my hard work and efforts to SHL scouts in advance of the Season 53 draft.

To the SMJHL general managers I’ve spoken to over the past couple of days, thank you. Thank you all for taking the time to tell me all about your great franchises. Your fans should be proud to know the work you all put in. And with that said, I now look forward to seeing your respective teams on the ice.

To the Halifax Raiders, let’s f***ing go! I’m beyond excited to get on the ice and start winning. It’s been too long since Halifax’s last Cup win. We need to change that. I’ll work my ass off until we change that.

I'm ready to build something in this latest era of Halifax Raiders hockey.

Not worth the reply tbh, he can gladly stay in the east ‘cost’.
The fact that he thinks we copied is even funnier maybe someone should open a history book or something Rolleyes
