The turning point of this game has to be at 11:24 of the second period, when Rhys Pritchard scored the go-ahead goal for the Anaheim Outlaws, and shortly after added a game-winning goal two minutes and thirty-four seconds later, both assisted by Kevin Robinson. These two daggers proved too much to overcome by the Newfoundland Berserkers as they were not able to pull even with Anaheim goalie Strom Chamberlain only letting another goal through towards the end of the second period as the Berserkers turned on the taps trying to equalize. This increased offensive desperation meant that even though the Outlaws were besieged during the third period, the third line of Hammarberg-Price-Bale were able to force an icing from the Berserkers, and in the ensuing faceoff caught the defense cheating up-ice to start the rush. Bale would make the Berserkers defense pay for their mistake by potting a goal, and sealing the game away for Anaheim.
