Early in the third period Newfoundland's forward Mattias Birdstrom has a open net for a split second to tie the score and potentially change the outcome of the whole game. Unfortunately for Birdstrom the puck bounces little bit before he can make the shot. Watch how Anaheim's MVP goalie Strom Chamberlain stretches his leg in front of the puck with lightning speed. Even if the shooter could have lifted the puck above Chamberlain's pad there there would have been his blocker to make sure that Anaheim stays in the lead.
