I thought I could get away from this all, but the prospect of EHM has drawn me back in. This is sort of a combo piece for media in that I have a few things sorted out for my next player, but a few other things I am asking for the communities help with.
I am recreating as a Defenseman that is for sure. I know right? I just had one for 3? Years in real life, why do it again? Honestly my 2nd choice would be a center, but the need to essentially burn extra TPE on faceoffs compared to a winger, makes the prospect of doing that less than ideal. So defenseman it is (Wingers are a dime a dozen anyways).

What comes next is one of the hardest decisions a user has to make when it comes to Sim leagues. The Name.
I have been tossing around a few names for my next player and am truly having a hard time narrowing down the final selection, so SHL I am reaching out to you for help (hopefully the poll has worked)
The choices are as follows.
1) Connor MacDonald – A toss back to my original SHL name back in the day. He just enjoyed a potential HoF level career in PBE, so it feel a bit weird to reuse it? But I know any of the S31 class reading this might support this resurgence.
2) Mikkel Asmus Sondergaard – A truly fitting name for the Country I’d like to rep this time around.
3) D’Glester Hardunkichud – Honestly it’s a full mix of names from East vs West bowl, and is just hilarious to picture someone with that name running around crushing bodies.
4) Airekt Carlsun – Clear play on words, but one of the more favourites I have come up with (currently exists in GOMHL)
5) Bjorn Bjarnason Sundqvist – 3 part names are just the best
So please vote above and help me sort out this big dilemma. Next up is a preferred destination for the eventual draft that is bound to happen. Please keep in mind this is just a current hope and dream list but at no point will I refuse to report to whatever team drafts me. I’d truly like to be a 1 team player this time around and set myself up for some team records as well as league ones if possible.

- The team I always wanted to play for with LKS but just couldn’t bring myself to head too from the Platoon. It’s crazy for me to imagine that Steelhead has been GM of the team as long as he has and it continues to have as much success as I have seen since I joined back in S30. Plus their logo and jerseys are pretty dope despite red not being a favourite colour of mine.
New Orleans Spectres
- Managed by two very familiar faces and sporting some colours not often seen, joining an expansion team with no real long standing legacy and team records would be fun. As someone who has shown the ability to be a high active, I think this team could be the perfect one to play for to set some good team records as a franchise Defenseman.
West Kendal Platoon
- What can I say about the Toonza? I spent A LONG time there, and honestly part of me wants to try somewhere new? But really its where my heart lies. It helps probably one of my favourite people on the site Zoone still plays there which in itself is a massive +++ for me among other beauties.

- Cool colours mixed with a steady GM core makes this team scream stability to me, so would be happy to head to the west coast.

- My boy Spartan runs this rag tag group, so can only be supportive of a prospect of mine from the PBE.

- Don’t really know much about this team and the logos and such are okay, nothing great for me.

- Is Toronto re cursed? I haven’t seen them make noise since they ended last time. I love me some Toronto and Blue/ White themes, but not sure how competitive this team is?

- Team branding is okay I guess. Wolf looks a bit silly to me, but wouldn’t be the worst destination.
San Francisco Pride
- I really honestly hate the team, but do respect/ love Grapehead, so its sort of cancels each other out. Again wouldn’t say no to going here.

- I remember the Jaywhy meltdown during the S31 draft for not going 1st overall, but besides that. Again red isn’t a favourite of mine, and Red + white is too Detroit for me, so meh.

- Kinda Lame branding honestly, and I am not on site too much, but I swear they are on like their 10th GM already?

- Boring branding. Generally never a fan of the team theme.

- Jets were part of the bane of my existence back in the day so have some old hatreds, but again it’s a fresh core I feel, so wouldn’t mind it I think
